Luckily for me I already taped the 17 minute club erotic version in 1975 on Casette tape. KZread strike policies are in effect so I know why you collaged 17 minutes of cleaning the song up and removed what even Donna Summer thought was an unauthorized "negative meaning she didn't sign off for" in light of her future many other songs and albums more clean (including Bad Girls)!
For the moaning part, she made everyone except Giorgio, leave the room, and all of the lights had to be out. Look what happened. The original 12". May our Queen Rest In Peace.

Once Giorgio Moroder concluded with the recording and editing of this song, he was not sure how the public would react to it, so he organized a party and there he "casually" made this song be heard, the reaction of his guests was incredible who asked to hear it over and over again, that's how he concluded that it should be released as soon as possible, the rest is history

This is called being patient and telling a story through instruments, erotic backdrop or not. Just a complete masterpiece in music making that does not exist on this level anymore. One of a kind voice, Donna Summer💚
For those wondering, the other musicians are backing vocalists Betsy, Gitta Walther, and Lucy O'Neale; guitarists Molly Moll, Nick Woodland, and Pete Bellotte; bassist Dave King; drummer Martin Harrison; percussionist Bernie Brocks; keyboardist-percussionist Giorgio Moroder; keyboardist Michael Thatcher; and string player Franz Deuber.

When I first heard this as an 18 year old in 1975, I was totally bowled over. Fantastic voice, instrumentation and arrangements of the different sections to the song. I love the way the singing and the instruments just give way to just the bass at 4.00 before the other instruments come back in again and I love the way that flute comes in at 9.00, just stunning! We love and miss you, Donna.

I first heard this song on FM radio late at night as a young teenager, as some Los Angeles radio stations refused to air it on AM radio in the day in 1975, almost 40 years ago. In case you've forgotten, she was a fairly good actress as well. Not only did she star in "Thank God It's Friday", but she also had a recurring role on "Family Matters" as Steve Urkle's Aunt Ona from Altoona. She will never, ever be forgotten. RIH, Donna.

Jibba Jabba. I just made 61 on 11/7. Boy do I wish I was back in time. Maybe it's me but there are very few female singers today that had a positive effect on me like Donna Summer. I cried when she passed away. I remember getting dress and going to Studio 54 or the Paladium in New York City. I would dance into the wee hours. Great memories. Peace. :)
Let’s give credit to all of the musicians, arrangers and recording engineers and all of the people behind the scenes. The greatly talented and sensuous D.S. brought it together for us and gave all she had to please our audio and visual senses. Thank you!😘🌈
donna summer defined the 1970s more than anyone else. a true once in a lifetime icon who appealed to so many different people.
I was around in the late 70's and remember they had an edited version of this song for radio play. Edited out all the moaning and groaning. Or else it would never had gotten air play. Donna was the queen of disco, never be anyone like her again. RIP Donna.

Мне 62 впервые услышал композицию в 14. Это для меня было первое знакомство с диско. До сих пор мурашки по телу и ностальгия по тем временам
Timeless MASTERPIECE !!!
I'll be in love with her forever. She captured this white boy's heart when I was 8 or 9 years old as I watched her perform on tv in the late 70s. I've been her prisoner of love, lust, desire and sensuality ever since. I knew the consuming power and passion of a beautiful black woman from then on. Black women are the most beautiful women in the world and my Donna is proof of that.

The photo is the same as shown in the video of the song. I purchased two cassettes. The most popular was Love to love you baby and Try me try me. The voice and feminine tone was and is unbelievable.
