I had an untreated ear infection that lasted for nearly ten years. I saw several ENTs and it was misdiagnosed and mistreated throughout. Spread into the mastoid, then up my skull due to an otherwise asymptomatic irregular bone formation. It eventually got into my cranial cavity, though it never crossed the dura. Had to have a 2" * 6" piece of my skull removed and a titanium plate put in it's place. It did resolve this infection and my hearing is thankfully not significantly damaged. Please don't make the same mistake. Ensure adequate treatment of your ear infection.

I went to cinema 2 years ago after that i suddenly lose hearing in left year ,there is no pain just i feel ear blockage , what should i do? ​@@DrJamesGill

I have a ruptured eardrum that didn't heal correctly. After 2 1/2yrs of this now. I have to go outside with an earplug in my ear and earmuffs over the 1 ear. Still not enough to block out daily noises. I see all these really nice job opportunities, and I can't take them, all because my ear would take a beating. :( My ear is still taking a beating. 4th of July is now here and already, right when I take my ear muffs off, someone lets off a extremely loud firecracker. Ugh. My ear was almost healed. Almost, after 2+ weeks of the last flairup going down, the past 2 days, I've gotten hurt. This has been ongoing, trying to figure out what's wrong. And I had to go to another hospital facility entirely, to get help, because the other drs didn't want to do their job. At this point, I just want relief. I've about had it at this point. For the first time in weeks. No ringing almost. Almost. Enjoyed a 2hr hike. Destroyed in under 5min, as soon as I unblocked my right ear under a park shed, a very loud firecracker goes off to the right of me, past the weeds. I mean, what are the chances. As soon as I take my headphones off. Can't even let your ears breathe at a park. For ONE day. :(

I love how you do clips on so many varying issues. I had a condition called PET which is somewhat rare for young people.

I have had so many ear infections. I can’t bear it anymore.

I’d suggest speaking to your doctor to have that investigated

I have itches and mild pain in my right ear.. this has been going on for like 8 months. I am worried after watching this video now

Had my first ear infection at 6 days old then nearly constant up until age 12. Started to notice a loss in hearing at 14, first hearing aide at 16. Now at 39 I have hearing aides for both ears solidly in the moderate loss category. My dad on the other had had similar and now is profoundly deaf in one ear and severely deaf in the other

I had my infection for a year

I had such a severe cholesteatoma as an early adolescent it destroyed the hearing bones, wrapped around my facial nerve which unfortunately had to be severed during removal and had to have an additional surgery by Dr. Holliday from John's Hopkins University who was (he passed in 2021) considered a foremost expert in the field of these conditions.

Have an ear infection right now on my 3rd antibiotic with no relief ☝️🙄

Coming up on a bloody left ear for three weeks.

Had tonsillitis 3 weeks ago went to docs last week as was complaining if pain ub my eat at the tine it my ear was swollen in the middle part but no infection he just gave me painkillers to dealnwoth it incase it was related to tonsillitis had to go back yesterday as was in so much pain now the middle ear is infected and hurts way more he told me to leave it 5 days before I go back

I got my ear syringed id say 4 weeks after water enterd my ear and I still feel very fatigued after it a week later

Mine isn't going away. I have spent money trying to treat it but it's all in futility. I just want it to go away!😢

Oh do I have a horror story for you. I lost part of my hearing in one ear cuz our medical system in the US sucks. I went to a doctor at a CVS minute clinic (first mistake. i will never go there again) with swimmers ear... and i've had many ear infections like that cuz i am just particularly prone to getting swimmers ear if i get water in my ear (even from showering or whatever). I get psoriasis in my ears so its just waiting to happen with even a drop of water. Anyway I expected to get some ear drops or whatever and all would be good. She decided to do this stupid ear wick crap and then told me that it would "help it to drain and then will come out on its own in a few days." ..... ear wicks dont do that apparently... just come out i mean. I had no idea though having never had one. I have since learned that even if they are a "doctor" don't trust everything they say. Well naturally, that didn't happen. instead it blocked up my ear from draining and the infection got so bad it spread into my FACE.... swelled up half my face to twice it size (looked like freakin quasi modo man). I went back to doctor who was like uhm damn got to the ER (but lol pay me for doing nothin other than saying that lol lol). I was so entirely delirious and out of it by the time i got over to the ER... I am surprised i was able to drive myself there. TBH they shoulda called an ambulance... it was really that bad. Had to get a shot in my rear and had to get very strong antibiotics. My eardrum completely burst. I was completely deaf in that ear for months after and its never been same after that. All in all the whole fiasco cost me probably 500 bucks for two doctors visits and astronomically expensive meds.... plus another like 900 i owed the hospital too. Eventually my hearing came back but not all the way, I have permanantly lost hearing in that ear which is actually bad enough i constantly ask people to repeat themselves. If someone talks at me from that side it's kinda muffled and harder to make out. It actually caused me a lot of problems when i worked retail with customers getting mad and even outright belligerent towards me that i ask them to speak up. it made me hate my job so much after a while i quit. : )
