Love Greg Evigan's voice!
Paul looks so much like an Elton wanna be here...fun
WHAT a GREAT piece of trivia this is...on SO many levels! Thanks for posting, Don....I JUST found out that you and Josh were in this unaired pilot before the show finally made it to air (2-3 years later???) with just Paul and Greg. Loved the song...I JUST bought the album on eBay!! Here's my favorite part - All four of you guys...on a show about selling your soul to the DEVIL...TWO of you came from Godspell...and TWO of you from Jesus Christ Superstar. Huh??? Huh?
What a beautiful way to wake up this morning!!!!!!!!
I keep playing it over and over. How I remember when you sang like that; it was heavenly!
You wouldn't by any chance have any other videos that were part of A Year At The Top? If you did that'd be great.
Oh Greg Evigan ,...you are so talented!!!
2021, Rules forever

This is kidney stones level painful
Yeah, I vaguely remember this song from the late 1960s. it really captures the ethos of that late, 60s Rock ‘n’ roll, When Rock ‘n’ roll became a good bit more melodically sophisticated. of course as a music school student I’m going to tell you that it could’ve used a lot more development in the build up, and then perhaps one extra iteration in the chorus… But what the hell, you had something of a hit with it, and it’s 55 years too late for the critique. The best to you, Mr. Scardino.😊

A Year at the Top August 1977?
Listen to Josh Mostel's interview with Gilbert Gottfried on GILBERT GOTTFRIED'S AMAZING COLOSSAL PODCAST.
Is this a Kinoscope? I thought the show with shot on videotape?

The pilot episode, which is what this clip was taken from, was shot on film. In fact the musical sequence was shot by the great Vilmos Zsigmond (Deer Hunter, Close Encounters, etc.). Might have been his first D.P. job in the U.S. The series was shot on tape, as a multicam comedy, with a few different cast members.

@@donscardino9777 thank you so much I had no idea. By chance do you have these episodes? I’ve been looking for them for years and I would do anything to see them.

@@EliteWorksATeBay Unfortunately, I do not. I didn’t continue with the show beyond the pilot (which never aired, by the way). Your best bet would be to contact Norman Lear’s office or CBS and see if the later episodes still exist. I know that an album was released with “Greg and Paul” under the name “A Year at the Top”, I believe. Good luck!

@@EliteWorksATeBay no; it disappeared long ago. I thought Paul Shaffer had a copy but he didn't either, do it's lost to the ages, I'm afraid. Lucky we still have the song!
