I have heard the full Pilium stack from the Achilles stereo amp, Alexander linestage and Elektra Dac. The system is just glorious and rivels the very best I have heard in sonics and beats them in many ways. You can't describe it until you hear them all tied together. It is just outstanding. I think they are better than anything from Pass Labs, Mcintosh, Audio Research, Lamm, Ayer, or VAC is doing now. It competes with just the best of the best top 1% stuff in this industry and has more value than a lot of those other top 1% brands. This is a company that just cares more about the product I think then other companies out there and less about the board room bean counters.

I've heard various Pilium amps but not my cup of tea. I prefer the dot eight Pass Labs class A amplifiers

@@celestial_sound I've got both brands with a selection of products on display here in Stockholm. Pass is very nice sounding with a strong following but can't compete with Pilium on any level in terms of build, component quality and sound reproduction. It's as simple as that. Pilium is next level.

@@celestial_sound As a former owner of two pairs of XS300s and an x600.8, I can say that the PassLabs bass is a joke compared to the Pilium. With Pilium a speaker with a 10 inch woofer sounds like a 15 or 18 in full control. My x600.8 hit the clip so many times that it was the reason I sold it, Pilium has unlimited power, at least it seems that way. If you like the colored sound and not what the artist and engineer actually recorded, PassLabs is for you.

@@rocksariohhher1769 I agree, Pilium is more neutral amp. But i really like the 2nd harmonics Nelson Pass is adding to his designs. In this hobby we all have different tastes, If I subjectivity prefer the pass amps that doesn't mean they are better compared to pilium or any other brand.

More unobtainable gear, falling fast to ever evolving audio technology from extreme amount of old and new companies. 🥱
