Rise of Melkor: The War of the Valar | Silmarillion Documentary
This video covers an extensive period of time, including the First War, the Spring of Arda, Years of the Lamp, Sleep of Yavanna, and the Birth of the Two Trees. My focus, however, remains on the deeds of Melkor, whose relentless pursuit for power drove him to challenge the dominion of the Ainur over Arda.
Witness the countless battles that ensued as the Valar formed Arda, and Melkor undid or marred their every creation. His reign lasted ages until Tulkas descended to Arda and put an end to Melkor's tyranny. The result of the War was that Arda was marred, but Tulkas and Aulë worked tirelessly to restore it.
As peace settled over the land, Aulë created the Two Lamps and Yavanna seeded the earth with plants, beginning the Spring of Arda. But Melkor's return brought destruction, and the mighty pillars were cast down, plunging the land into chaos once more. The Sleep of Yavanna ensued, but her song brought forth the Two Trees, which illuminated the land and brought life to Middle-earth.
As a fan of Tolkien's world, revisiting this tale evokes the deepest emotions in me, and I'm excited to share it with you. So sit back, relax, and let the story transport you to a world of wonder and complex mythology that has captivated readers for generations!

Probably the coolest lotr lore videos I’ve seen. One of the most impressive aspects of Tolkien’s lore/world building is its near Biblical scale. You’ve managed to capture that grandeur and you nailed the visuals and summarized it all in a beautiful, complete way.

This is a fantastic description of the “Genesis” chapter of Middle Earth (Arda)! Wow! 🥺🤩🥰 Stunning visuals accompany perfect commentary. Musical score is sublime and adds emotion (heart/tension/hope/sadness/despair) to the story exactly as intended. Top notch production values! I would watch THIS story line 10 times out of 10 versus the Amazon debacle. It’s so true to the source material! Absolute brilliance. Bravo to all involved in bringing this production together!!! 10/10 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💯 Why is this team not producing shows on Amazon?!!! 😳

Sweet
I hold Tolkien’s work in the highest regard as I do with the Bible. I do wish however that Dagor Dagorath was given its own book. But sadly that will never happen. Revelation must be complete.
I've always said when discussing fantasy authors.... You have to pull Tolkien out, set him aside, he's in his own league. I actually suspect most fantasy authors would even agree with that. In my mind, a closer peer to Shakespeare than George R. R. Martin (and I LIKE Martin). What he created was so deep so well thought out, that we will be plumbing the depths of his writing for centuries.

When the Aiunur descended into Arda, it seemed like they were all playing in a sandbox. Like most groups of children there is always at least one in the bunch knocking over sandcastles that are not their own and throwing toys, water, whatever at the other toddlers. Someone needs a spanking.
