2:24:14 - "cash is strapped" lol no way, the one thing drekkis has more than they could ever do with is material wealth, several ancient dragon hordes worth and then some. Food shortages in Mystria, sure, shortage of men, makes sense, but Drekkis has an obscene overabundance of money... aka gold/silver/mithril, and a wealth of non magical and minor magic weapons... enough +1 weapons to arm half the army at this point according to all the listed assets given to the crown in ToS. If Lord Marshal gave a crap about this mission, he shouldve atleast sent a few healing potions, maybe some minor magical gear, +1/2 weapon/armor for Elaine atleast. I geuss everything Drekkis gained in ToS is just sitting in a treasure room rather than put to use... very frustrating > Ps great episode! love the characters and roleplay!

Its on the premise of the campaigns. First one was just damage control of rebels. This one was just a check on an outpost. Sure they got tons of resources, but remember that there were two key points during the war against Mystria where Drekis was ravaged, one when the brothers disappeared, and the second one when they advanced into Scoria's lair, allowing her do destroy undefended cities. That's where I think most of the resources are being used, not only the war effort but the insane damage control. When it comes to items, I can agree with a +1 sword, and *maybe* some minor magic item, but this is Koibus world (low magic at this time).

Infinite gold can't produce more resources though. They talked about inflation. Several surrounding countries just went through civil wars, so they are likely low resources as well. Idk who Drekkis could trade with nearby -- using their gold. They need time to rebuild their cities and train new soldiers from civilians. It's going to take like 15 years

Holy shit Neal, really going full mudcore with the allied troops fleeing as soon as one PC goes down. Enemy soldiers have never once fled when their leader is slain…

Is morale is being rolled correctly? The odds of 2d10 being more than 9, 8 times (11, 11, 18, 9, 14, 11, 13 and 12) are 7%. Not impossible, especially since this is a Koibu campaign (77), but feels highly unlikely.

Perhaps he still is lol, it feels like hes making things harder than necessary in this campaign relative to others, and in this episode specifically it "feels" like he's retroactively altering prior established details about his own world to justify denying the players help, though i dont think that is his conscious intent. Ultimately, its probably been possible for them to make due with what they have, and i geuss he doesnt want to throw off the balance he setup for this quest.

vincent was also kind of useless that fight
