Rippin' the NEW Ibis Ripley with the folks who make our trails possible
Спорт
These are the people who make mountain biking possible. The Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz are a shining star example of trail advocacy and the power of volunteers to make dreams into reality. Every mountain bike group faces challenges, but MBOSC is able to keep fighting the good fight thanks to support from companies like Ibis.

Great work BKXC! Appreciate the honesty on the sponsored videos and paid content. Doesn't change a thing. You have earned it! BOOM!
This is a sick video dude, keep it up!
Definitely like this style of video. I'm inspired to do some volunteering with my local trail group!
That moment when you see the museum bikes and think "Hey! That's what I'm riding right n.....oh....I could use an upgrade."

Great video Brian! Being a SC native I appreciate you highlighting the great mtb community and trail system we have down here🤘🏼
Thank you Ibis thank you volunteers God bless everyone of you...
You've just inspired me to donate to MBOSC for the first time! Now I'll feel even more stoked the next time I ride the Flow trail. Keep it up Brian, MBOSC, and Ibis!
Definitely awesome to see trail work being done. Chico being a city park it’s a little hard but we’ve finally been making headway. Sadly I haven’t made a work day but major props to all that help make trails better.
There's a certain aura about Santa Cruz that I can't explain. It's a magical place for mountain bikers
That is insane; what a solid build! Love your videos Brian!!
This video deserves several thumbs up for the good work the MBOSC are doing.
always great helping build and maintain the local trails. I started a few years back and get out as often as I can. Sure, weekends get busy; but if i can make a few trail work days a year I'm doing my part and giving back.
Thanks Brian! Awesome bringing some more attention to the great work going on , and encouraging people to take part
Who else is addicted with this CHANNEL? by the way Brian fantabulous video!
Picked up a 2018 Ripley LS 4 days ago. Coming from a 150/140 Enduro build, the Ripley is an AMAZING change of pace. Fast up, fast down, and I haven't yet found it's limits for a trail ride. I'll keep the Enduro for park days and shuttle runs, but the Ripley will be seeing 90% of my trail miles.
Thanks brian and ibis for promoting trail advocacy which is crucial for more legal trial systems especially in California. 🤙🏽
Great to see what Ibis is doing for the local trails! I need to demo one of their bikes soon.
Great vid. The Santa Cruz county mountain bikers really love the sport and the lifestyle. The best community out there.
Hats off to the trail builders!! Thanks for the insight
Simply amazing the organization the giving back, it’s what we all hope for!
Dam Brian, what a cool video thanks for sharing all the cool stuff happening in Santa Cruz such a beautiful city and the riding looks awesome! Cant believe I went there a couple years ago and didn't think about taking my bike.
Awesome video Brian and thanks for promoting the importance of trail advocacy!
So good dude! Quality content as always. Good People + Trail Love = Great Times
Great video as always. The ending got me even more motivated to try to link up with SNMBA and put in some volunteer work for the trails out here in the Las Vegas area! 👍👍
Love this video! Trail-builders are truly the unsung heroes!
loving this vid. Ibis is such an awesome brand!!! not a lot of them in South Africa and if you can get one then they are not cheap! Loving the forest trails. Thanks for the adventure!!
Sweet video ! Great people doing great things to push our sport forward.
I had my first mountain bike experience on a rented hd4 last week, and now I am hooked.

Wow... congrats BK, very apparent living and loving the dream.
Doing some trail work this Saturday! I love it
great video! very inspirational! I went to the ibis website for a look afterwards and loved their promo video for the ripley!
I need a Museum and RV in my office! What a cool office!
Brian your one of a kind , keep the videos coming

It's pretty amazing what people can do when they get together for a common goal@!
I demoed a norco at santa cruz last year, really great place! love you're vids!!
I was in Santa Cruz last week on 4/22. Booked a demo with Santa Cruz and rode a good chunk of Wilder Ranch. Hope you got a chance to ride the Enchanted Loop and the Zane Gray Cutoff. Wish I had more time to ride in the area. I didn't get a chance to get to those painted water tanks. The weather was perfect and the trails were hero-dirt quality. Enjoyed the video very much!
Great vid Brian! You hit the nail on the head, trails don’ t build themselves. If you want epic local trails you have to get involved some how, your local club can use your talents what ever they are.
Thanks for highlighting this these folks get so much done there amazing! I am one of the original Tamarancho dirt diggers Santa Cruz has it going on!

Possibly my favorite video if yours. Santa Cruz has stepped it up so big for our sport. Brilliant video
No dig no ride, cool thing is to build a trail. Because when you ride it. The buzz is awesome. Loving this style of videos. Give an insight to what mtb is about. Keep up the good work mate :-).
I love my ripley best bike I’ve ever owned. I recommend an ibis to everyone looking for a longterm performance bike. Taken it cross country, even taken it at the bike parks and it shreds on jumps.

Ankit j Hi, I’m torn between Ripley and Ripmo. Leaning towards the Ripley but 130mm front travel worries me a bit. Do you find out this is enough for you ? Regards
@SLAMTRON

@@tomaszmichewicz7867 I believe you can go 140mm up front if you prefer.
just love your content Brian...the trails you ride are just lit....iv really been inspired by u n recently went in for my first hardtail MTB..the schnell m500 29er. it's super fun and I already had my first hard fall..thanx to my safety gear I was saved with just a few scratches and bruises...can't wait to get back on the trail :)

Awesome work, more trail advocacy videos please.
Cheers to the trail dreamers, builders and maintainers
Looking forward to a Yeti demo ride at Sunshine Bikes in Fairfax on the 12th. On a long travel bike myself (Pivot Mach6) so we’ll see how this Ripley works out. Thanks for the teaser.
Like the new bike Brian Nice trail and bike shop 🚴🚴😉👍
Respect to the builders
Nice trails, like that type of forest!!
beautiful place to ride $$$$ expensive place to live, build, etc. good work helping to support trail building, maintenance and MTB community Brain
I love the new Ripley on paper, the semi-local shop already got a M to demo! Can you please demo the DV9 so we can answer the "can Brian ride a hardtail???" question!
You have too many bikes, I have free space, it can work

So many good trails for a bike like the Ripley in SC. Also, good on Ibis for supporting trail building and maintenance!
Love sending it down pogonip gonna ride it this weekend with a buddy
Well done, very inspiring.

Great work at this video I wish I could be there with all of you
Awesome video bro love the new bike bad ass
This is AWESOME!
so cool to see you hit my local trails. Wish you would’ve hit mailbox 🤘
One of the simple things I would suggest to advocate more trail maintenance is to encourage riders to stop and do one thing each ride to improve the trail. Kick a problem rock off the trail, snap an over grown branch, etc. Too many people ride by small problem features over and over and wait for somebody else to address it and they start to add up. I ride with small hand pruners in my pack.

Really good idea!
If you hit a big drop and line it right for the landing, you’ll absolutely be fine! Especially on a full sus. I used to ride big drops on my 120mm hardtail, and it was fine! Wouldn’t recommend for ankle preservation though!
Your so lucky to have such good bikes
I'd hop in that water so fast! C'mon BKXC, a short dip is good for your health! Thanks for keeping it real, you da man
Those stairs tell you a lot😂 2:07

Cool Vid's! nice trails...
Awesome. I threw down 5 donation entries ;-)
Great trail system built by many great dedicated and motivated people. Just imagine the trails around north america and the world where more government involvement and funding would come in. Keep on spreading the word Nuggets.

Came for the bike review. Didn’t happen. Hope you do another vido with more info on the Ripley. Nice video nonetheless
Hi. Thanks for another great vid. Would you mind telling me what the tail rack is on the back of your car? Thank you 😊
Great video. I actually didn’t know about groups like this and I’m a mountain biker myself. In California. Lol
Wow - I road Wilder Ridge back in the early 2000’s. It’s cool to see how much they have improved! I remember the bloody road he refers to.

Can't wait to visit home and ride some of the trails where it all started for me!

I think the absolute biggest shout out to HandUp gloves is just how much lighter in color your hands are from your arms. I think that's an absolutely epic product endorsement, from the oddest of sources.

Becoming big time. Time to give your interviewees wireless mics. 😉
Dude, your hitch bike is rad!! What brand is it and where can I get one myself? Wow!!
Awesome bike! Santa Cruz is only an hour away, gotta go check these places out.
I never saw your review of The Smash, a shortish travel bike. How does it compare to the Ripley?
I demo'd a Ripley 3 times, really liked it, and was thinking about buying one. Then, they released the Ripmo and everyone was saying how great it is. I'd be a fool to not at least demo a Ripmo before plunking down $5000+ on a Ripley. Unfortunately I have been unable to find an XL Ripmo to demo. Maybe this summer. I found the Ripley to be very playful and a far better bike than my skill level. How would you compare the two?
2.3” tires, huh? Comes with 2.6”. What is your preference on this bike for XC?
Hi, 130mm front travel is enough for XC/Trial ?
13:38 There is some trail missing between that cut. I wonder how you got down there ;)
Wilder Ranch is so much fun to ride! Great video 😀
Hi Brian , Just dipping into some of your older films I wondered if you could remember what size Ripley you rode ? I demoed a medium last weekend and was wondering about sizing up All the best Rich

It was a large, I ride a large Ripmo. Seems about right.
This is awesome but at the same time makes me sad. I live in Wisconsin, close to Trek HQ, and they have built trials. They made them private, which is the the opposite of community. Bigger companies can learn a thing or two from Ibis.
