Ripped Off? How Much I Paid: Club Style Harley Davidson Street Bob Custom Buy Stock vs Built

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Follow me on instagram: @jonsmotogarage
Today I'm going over how much I paid for my 2013 Harley Davidson Street Bob Dyna Custom (FXDBC, FXDB). I bought this bike to try getting into the Harley Wheelie game. As a newbie, I did some research and this bike had most of what I thought I wanted: lane splitter handlebars, suspension, saddleman seat, quarter fairing, exhaust, etc. My biggest hangup with this bike was the mileage (23k). A bit high for my liking. Anyway, in this video I reveal how much I paid as well as discuss some of the pros and cons of buying a bike and building it yourself vs. getting one that's already set up. Enjoy!
Gear I Use:
Lapel Mic w/GoPro Hero5 Connection (everything you need for audio setup): amzn.to/2Wzw6W1
Simpson Bandit Ghost Helmet: amzn.to/2Go1RLI
GoPro Hero 4: amzn.to/2t38USf
Fox Gloves: amzn.to/2D30OOj

2013 harley street bob custom price, how much do club style dynas cost, street bob 103 cubic inch price, what should I pay for a harley dyna street bob custom,

This engine is bullet proof and no leaks and always starts . My 1200 Sportster was also very reliable also. Funny thing my first Sportster was a 74 Ironhead and even though it leaked oil and was kick start only I would buy it back in a second .

Nice man, I picked one up down here in Southern California back in July. I bought a 2016 Dyna Street Bob in black denim and it came with a quarter fairing, Moto illumination headlight, performance machine grips, Arlen ness mid control pegs and passenger pegs, and 14 inch T bars with only 4,800 miles for $14,500 lol. I got a good deal since it was my second bike from that dealer. I’ve added some of my own parts such as custom dynamics LED front and rear turn signals, SDC mini floorboards, Vance and Hines Long Shots, Drag Specialties 13” shocks, LED Lightbar, Lucky Dave’s seat

300k!? Holy smokes that's a lot of miles. I should clarify that I'm used to looking at mileage from a resale standpoint. While I know the engines can handle if when well maintained, there seems to be a huge drop in value once the bikes creep over certain thresholds, like 25k, 30k, etc. But all things considered, I'm really digging the bike and it's allowed me to get started on the wheelie practice, so no complaints. Thanks, brotha! Wish I could take credit for the build. Lol. I just picked it up as is. Although, I did put the clutch and brake levers on. Ha! Yeah, I had no idea about the "Street Bob Custom" either. To my knowledge, it was only available that year, and pretty much the only difference was the 103. I almost passed on this one cause I initially assumed it was a 96. Then I thought the dude was trying to pull a fast one until I did my homework. I had a road king recently that was similar. The 2011 rk classic had a 103, while all the standard still had the 96. Not sure why harley has to mess with us like that. Mine has the chain drive, but I've seen plenty of dudes rippin wheelies with the belt as well. Thanks again for watching and commenting!

The fact that I sold that and turned around to buy a bike 5 yrs older with way higher miles blows my mind sometimes. Lol. The things we do sometimes. But this one more or less fits my needs. I also had a 2015 a few yrs back w/super low miles that I picked up for $9500. But like yours, it was mostly stock and didn't have the set up I was looking for. For the longest time I didn't have a bike of my own that I rode - they were all bikes I was going to sell. That's basically what it came down to. Took a long time to get to this point, but I've enjoyed many a fun ride. If I were to keep all the motorcycles (and not flip most of them), then I'd go broke real fast. Lol.
