I wish many other non spanish speaking people that love music would experience what you have. As you personally know, the lyrics are so poetic, that they literally make people cry, take pride, hurt, and feel happiness. Hearing Vicente makes me want to have a drink to cheer his songs. And I don't even drink. Lol. Cheers brother!🥂 Hey, may I recommend another huge Mexican star; Juan Gabriel. His lyrics, as a songwriter, are amazing. If you've ever been wronged and heartbroken, you will relate to his emotions. And he shows it in his performances. One song that stands out is Amor Eterno. Dedicated to his deceased mom.

This story will always choke me up because it has such a sentiment, shows how much he loved his mother. You go fluffy

Gabriel's last comment shows humility and a deep love for the first woman in his life. His mother.

Oh i am someone's mom and my daughter Sandra Cruz is a big fan of Fluffy and she made me like him..i'm a big fan of Gabriel now. We went to see him at the staples center just a few years ago when he came to the Staples Center

The minute I heard about Vicente Fernandez's passing, I immediately thought about this story, and you and your mom. I hope she gets to see him every night now, with no pain in her feet and a big smile on her face. May both their memories be blessings.

Meeting Vicente was like meeting the Pope 😂 so glad Fluffys mom got to meet him. My parents go to see him in concert when he was here in Dallas for his last tour, he was like every Hispanics grandpa cause we all grew up listing to his music. May he Rest In Peace, he will forever be El Rey.

Not too long after Gabriel was on Last Comic Standing, my wife & I went to his show in Sacramento CA. I can tell you Gabriel is just as sincere and warm as Vicente. After the show, he posed for a pic with his arms around both of us and even signed my wife's lower back with a mascara pen. Fluffy is a class act and so damn funny. Just wanted share that.

Full body chills! My husband loved him so much and sadly, we never got to see him live. Chente will live on forever through his music!! Viva el Rey!!

Vicente was, is, the embodiment of the good of Mexico. The pride of the country and the culture that sadly is fading away. His kids and grandkid will keep some of that alive. Alex Fernandez is absolutely amazing!

I had no clue who the man was before Fluffy told this story, and when it came on the news, I was suddenly saddened but then smiled because Fluffy's mama will now get to see and listen to him all she wants. He must have been amazing for him to get so much press in the US.

I can't lie when I first heard of him passing I shed some tears because his songs and voice got alot of us thru some tough times ! I'm forever indebted to him and greatful at the same time . I never met him but if God grants me the passage to heaven I look forward to it ! R.I.P. THANKS CHENTE !

I lost my mom in August and unfortunately I don't have any photos with her, or any I took personally. So this was a little sad for me. That was soooo moving! My dad is still alive but I remembered dragging my dad to a Chente concert. He's old school, the man saw Pedro Infante, Javier Solis, Pedro Vargas & so many other greats at the Million Dollar in his younger days. Sure Chente can't hold a mic to these giants and he acknowledged it too but, he comes really close and represents the country that saw my patents born. Man my heart was all swelled up with pride taking my dad to see this show, my dad she'd tears when Chente sang Mexico Lindo y Querido. This story took me back. I may not have gotten the VIP pass but, Chente makes you feel like you are VIP. I saw him a few times after that, each show was different and unique. I also took my ex-mother-in-law. She used to go to EVERY concert here and in Mexico. Turns out this one year she didnt have any funds to go. I gifted her two tickets to go. She was so happy! I don't know why but I thought of those days while I watched the funeral mass live from his ranch. RIP Chente😔💖💖💖🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Vicente was the last of an extraordinary era of Mariachi music. He was past and present and he was idolized by billions who have heard his music. My parents were blessed with his music and movies along the way. He treated his movies like musicals singing with all-time greats. We may had Elvis as our King. But Vicente - he is the True King of all Mexican small towns for his Mariachis. GOD BLESS, CHENTE!!!!🙏

I also didn't know much about him even though both my parents are from Mexico lol. My mom was playing his music on the TV out loud. I'm 19 and dont listen to Spanish music but I liked a few songs.
