Why is a goal keeper expected to play 60 plus games. Peps defencers each had 23/24 starts in a treble winning season. Injury can wreak havoc, we saw an opportunity, we took it.

It’s never any players fault for the price they are sold for, Rice was not the one who valued himself at £105m but he will have to unfairly carry that pressure on his shoulders. Great interview, I was shocked we signed him, he speaks positively about the club, manager and staff. Let’s hope we have a good season.

For me, Rice must play in midfield in the "Xhaka role", or in a double pivot with Thomas Partey with Odegaard as number 10. A balanced midfielder who is less exposed to counter-attacks.

I think he can also play dm when teams sit deep & we don't need as much defense or I thaught it was very interesting with Partey as a inverted RB just like Zinchenko (if he isn't playing that role on the left)... anyway we have many options now. I only hope someone steps up when it comes to communication & leadership on the pitch since Xhaka was very influental & underated when it comes to that.

Love this guy already. Can't wait for him to really kick on for the Arsenal
