Ringing Stedman Triples at Eastwood, Notts

A touch of Stedman on this fine 1905 Taylor eight, tenor 19-0-21 in E. Unfortunately this Victorian church was destroyed by fire in the 60s, leaving only the tower. The new building attached is more like a school hall in character and is not the most attractive! The bells however are excellent and go well. To my ears they sound quite like Gillett & Johnston bells as they have a brighter tone than many Taylor rings. A superb ring to round off a super weekend in Notts.

Yes, the whole ringing chamber was redecorated and is much lighter and brighter now
