Plain Bob Major at Wanstead, Greater London

Фильм және анимация

An excerpt from a quarter peal of Plain Bob Major on the sweet sounding peal of eight at Wanstead, Greater London on Saturday, 27th January 2024.
The back six bells here were cast in 1934 by John Taylor and Co followed by two trebles in 1972 to complete the octave. They are a bright and pleasant sounding ring which aren't harsh to the ear. I thought they could be a little louder in the ringing chamber, but nonetheless that wasn't a massive problem when ringing the quarter.
The bells go OK, but the tenor is really oddstruck and therefore felt difficult to place when turning it in. Towards the end of the quarter the ringing settled and it sounded really nice! I would definitely recommend a ring on these if you are in the area! Enjoy!
Tenor 8-0-12 in Bb
