'Our motto is: “Always go the extra mile.” And a good example of that is the Valkyrie where when I came to the first meeting, they weren’t sure if they want to make a hybrid car or combustion engine car. So, we actually built a prototype of that battery, like super fast and tested it. When we went to the meeting, they couldn’t believe it because they just expected us to talk. And then we had already done everything and proved everything and there was no more discussion. We just did it. They didn’t pay us for it. 'We got into some difficult times due to an asshole. So we can call him, I think Mate called him John, I’m gonna call him Gary. That may or may not be his real name. Gary comes with his private jet. He loves the company, he loves Mate. He loves the team, he loves everybody. He’s a, you know, a very outspoken guy, and he promises much better terms. Two weeks later, he needs to pay the money, but it’s not coming. The money is not coming, and he said like he paid. There is some kind of confirmation and so on. We were trying to rationalize his behavior, but he was just lying. So, he didn’t pay and the whole company could go bankrupt.' It takes a team to do anything great that is this complicated. Glad to see Mate giving credit to his team.
It was a great move to let Chris Harris take it out. He was more than blown away and that means a lot. Too bad I'll never be able to get into the car. It's just amazing.

We all have a deep sorrow moment in our life. In June 2017, after a 10 day visit to Ireland, then onto Vis to my childhood home, my wife to be in Zagreb advised me she would not travel to Rimac with me as planned....that one chance to be with Team Rimac vanished at that moment.
