Sounds great Liesbet, love the haunting sound of rim blowns. It took me a while to get the hang of them, as I had some nerve damage that cost me the ability to whistle years ago, but perseverance wins all challenges ;)

Your flute playing is exquisite. I am looking for a versatile flute, either drone or plain, and am wondering which maker you would recommend. I have hear you play flutes by Ana Pan and Brent, and they are wonderful instruments. Do you have a personal favorite? I will also check out Mark Purtill. Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much for your big compliments, Janice! Yes Anna’s drone flutes are exquisite and from Brent I have some nice Cliff dweller flutes! There are so many nice flute makers, it depends on what you are looking for and on the budget you want to spend. If you are looking for top notch quality and concert tuning, then I would recommend JP Gomez (Heart Song flutes). He does have quite a waiting list though…
