Bacon Union all pc tanks with derp guns are really powerful ex. M4, KV1, KV2, all japanese heavies

When you think about it, this is one of the rare tanks with a 122MM gun at tier 5 which in the grand scheme of things, it is still a 122 which is pretty massive for tier 5

I just got this gun for the KV-1, and I'm actually enjoying it a lot.

The problem with the 122mm gun, it's has good dmg if it can pen but the pen is quite terrible

Back when I was a nub KV 1 was my 1st heavy tank, tried the 122mm for just 1 match and never again I'm trying that crap gun. Soon, I learnt to sidescrape and hulldown using KV 1 and mounted the 85mm gun on it. KV 1 can be good if you don't show your side or rear to the enemy and the front hull as well, but there's just other fun Tier 5 heavies to play now, such as the BDR G1 B and the T1 heavy (I call it jellybean)

Still, you don't have to play this gun, just research it.

I think that gun has a 12 second reload and way better dispersion before 5.5

You know, the KV-1 historically has 90 mm frontal armor, 75 mm sides, and 70 mm rear...Wargaming decided to nerf it to 75-57-57 mm armor. As u can see it is so arbitrary. “Ok, let’s drop it to a common number like 75 and flip the number for the sides. Btw, let’s give Foch an OP autoloader and also let’s not nerf the Smasher although it’s broken OP...” WG, can u make some sense???

Absolutely! I would rather WG gave the KV-1 its historical armour, buff the penetration on the 76 mm gun to match what it is on the KV-220, and take away the top 85 mm gun.

This tank is so slow even with upgraded equipment and enemy who uses light tank can just destroy you but the damage is good though but still useless

The gun needs better HE pen of at least 37mm and the HEAT needs 160 mm, all without Calibrated Shells.

I miss the old days.. the enemy alecto always gets one shot by me with a kv1, using HE shell.

I find side scraping+angling makes it really fun and can be pretty good and that's in VI but it could pen use a pen buff

I played this gun for 3 hours today. Penned maybe 5 times, one shot one tank. I'm just using it to train for the KV-2. I worked my way up the IS line, just coming back for the lolz.

This tank is pretty much a nightmare for tier 4 tanks

I saw one playing with them (to get kv2) , and didn't get damage, I said to him get the 85mm gun, that's much better and now he can get damage

I met this one guy who claimed he did 3k dmg with it, using only HE, (me in a kv1s atm) was like "yeah ok maybe if it was like tier 4 targets m8" but this a t5 vs t6 battle chances of u doing anything good is slim

122mm has good pen on HEAT and is very useful when played properly

The T1 heavy is now the best tier 5 tank along with the Leopard.

@@stevenrapa4014 me too dude whenever I'm in a match with angry conner everybody just spams HE. And if by chance a kV 1 with the 122 mm gun pens, then goodbye.

i use the kv-1S gun cuz it has good damage and less long reload my kv 1 is kinda fast so i use the speed as an advantage, corners and view range for sniping enemys that takes some time to spot me if im spotted i back up and the enemy will look for someone else then i shoot him back

So I get that this gun needs to be improved and all for game purposes but by improving the gun's stats takes away from the historical factor of the gun itself, am I wrong? I just feel that the game, as it has always been advertised at least for as long as I can recall, should be historically accurate, which is honestly why I started playing WOT Blitz oh so long ago now. It seems like as the years keep moving on this game just becomes more and more a game rather than what the true experience (what little it is) of commanding these powerful machines is like. Sorry Meadsy, just had to put that out there : ) I do enjoy watching your videos. I always look foward to the next one.

If you're gonna use that Howitzer, stick with your team to buy you some time to reload or maybe act like a tank destroyer like I did sometimes depending on the situation. Cause different gun means different Tactic or strategy.

And BTW, aim and fire at the Turret or near the roof of the Turret with that derp gun.

I invested in this tank after constantly getting one shot in my stug, or nashorn by the kv-2 figuring that. You know, it'll probably be decent, especially with how red the kv-2 is for. Well all of my tanks, hopefully the kv-1 at least looses less armor compared to how much power it'd loose. And I am very disapointed. It feels like a leopard situation. Okay-ish gun, can't pen another of the same tank worth shit but oh well, great manuverability for a light, great survivability for a heavy. But you get your driver, engine, or tracks damaged in the leo. It's pretty much useless till you repair that. Kv-1 was absolutely useless when the gun, ammo rack, turret, or loader/gunner, was damaged. It makes damage output impossible

Yah. I make about 10,000 using the tier 6 cannon and about 1,500 using the 122mm

Do the IS with the 100mm next. It’s a better gun anyway. Same goes for the IS-2.

I have a problem, the 122mm gun actually has very little pen. When i use it, the reload time is 19.2 and it only does 77-174 for me

The gun is not the problem, it is the armor. They have absolutely ruined this tank by reducing the armor. I don't know if a lot of people complained about how dominating it was or if they felt too many were winning and so they made it weak. But they went WAY TOO FAR. Now it is too easy to kill. They even got the names of the different KVs screwed up. All they had to do was to move the 85mm and 122mm guns to Tier VI and name the Tier VI tank the KV-85/122. The KV-1S is a 76mm gun-armed tank with lighter (thinner) armor but slightly faster. That should have been an option at Tier V along with the old standard KV-1 with the 76mm gun. Now it is a POS, and the only reason people play it is to move on to the KV-2 and other heavies. The current KV-1 Tier V has worse armor protection than the real KV-1S but without the added speed due to weight reduction. Pissed? Yeah, I am really pissed.

Well the kv1 76 mm it is actually fun if you are in same tier because it has the highest dpm out of the three guns but vs tier 6 it is useless due lack of pen. So yes tier 6 gun is the only one to go for. Thx for the video.

If you want to use kv1 with this gun your better off with a nightmare

Love my kv1 with the tier 6 gun. Yes that derp gun sucks and is useless in a tier 6 match.

I like the 122mm it's derp good for 1v1

Tank sucks now, cant sidescrape coz the side armor is down from 75mm to 57 mm and they didn't give it a boost in mobility to compensate for the armor loss

Jloyd the thing is that, You cant say right tank wrong gun as if both guns that will works on one tank I consider it a choice between consistent DPM or Alpha maker... as the gun in T-34-2 both 122 and 100mm gun are usable and quite effective in their own way... I consider both to be a freedom of choice.... Heck even JpzIV you can choose between a high pen E25 Spam or DPM but lose pen 88mm and surprise surprise, I able to use 75mm gun better than 88mm gun as it was way more accurate and able to make reliable shots aswell... Kv-1 also a great example aswel as you can select Derp 122mm that will just derp around and cheap for credits management or 85mm that reliable.... Kv-2 is similar with 152 and 107mm gun but we choose to take 152mm as if it pen, it rewarded you way more than 107mm so most Kv-2 with 107 we just called them I lived in Gulag kind of players... heck even WT and RHM also have weapon of choice like 128 DPM accurate gun or 150 High Alpha derp gun...

If most of the examples you mentioned are what you say they are, so what's the point of having Meadsy make a Right tank wrong gun? Since he did a vid for the KV 2 as well. And you completely missed the point of it all. Yeah both guns can work but one of the guns stands out than the other and that's the reason why you play that tank in the first place because of the unique playstyle like the T 49 the 90mm gives it better DPM and technically better in paper stats but players would rather play with the 152mm for it's fun factor same goes for the T 34 2 for it's 122mm, even it's premium counterpart brandishes a 122mm. All I am saying is it's fun factor not the effectiveness of the gun.
