They were actually making fun of the catwalk models who thought they were all that and a bag of chips, too sexy to be seen with the regular people. Even too sexy for the sexy people. They were making fun of that whole scene with this song.

I forgot this song existed! I used to wear a Stetson, like Indiana Jones, and would jokingly sing to my friends, "I'm too sexy for my hat, what do you think about that!", in the same tone as the singer. But, that's the only line I knew accurately. For the rest, I just had the right sound and whatever "almost right" words I could fill in. You really can fill in whatever you want, and it makes just as much sense.

Your face was just so classic! Considering when this song was released (1991) it was considered to be very risque in the day and I think my country (South Africa) even banned it for a while. The origin came from when the brothers owned a gym and watched how people would be so egotistical & vain by constantly posing in the mirrors at the gym.

Me thinks he was scorned by a model! LOL! I remember this one from 1991. It got plenty of air play on the radio.

Great to see someone reacting to something other than the same old classics or anthems. Love the catchy tune and the fact that the guys don't take it seriously

Your expression is absolutely priceless. Literally LMAO. I play this song to annoy my wife. She despises it. Too funny :-)

Beautiful 5-string you've got there. I still remember when this came out, it was a worldwide smash. It's an example of a particular kind of British humour, where they play with arrogance while poking fun at themselves. If you want to check out a more serious song, I love their track Bumped, which is criminally underrated and has a really cool video.
