3:35 is so relatable! I get shook everytime I accidentally clicked that. I remember when I was a beginner, I thought I f-ed up the rig 😂

Hi! This is so helpful thank youu so much!! I love making characters that have skirts and i only used the first way to rig them (it was a pain 😭😭) for the bottom part pattern of the dress, is it better that its symmetrical so that it can be rotated around?

Symetrical is always better if you care about continuity. In my case it is fine because it is not a ''pattern''... it's more a thing to show the dress is ruffled and messy :) So it doesnT' HAVE to look symetrical if you have a design, its always easier to make it symetrical indeed

Amazing! Do you have the two options of skirt in the same rig or those are two different rigs?

In this case, it is in the same rig! :) But it is not always the case for every rig !

Hello!! I’m hoping someone can answer this Harmony question I’ve had for months now! How do I create a new deformer on a new drawing substitute? I’m doing a rotation and I have the front torso deformed, but when I go to make the deformer for the 3/4 torso drawing, the deformer for the front torso drawing appears and manipulates the 3/4 drawing-how can I make an entirely new deformer dedicated to a different drawing in my drawing library? Does this make sense? Help from any one would be massively appreciated!!

I'm glad to see that your dress rig is very similar to my own :) personally for such rigs like this, I might actually put a peg under the deformer even though I know it's in general a no-no. But it gives a lot of freedom for making the dress turn while keeping the shape it has been deformed into.

Let it be known: PUTTING A PEG UNDER A DEFORMER means that. EACH. TIME.. YOU MOVE THE PEG : Harmony needs to RE. RENDER. YOUR. IMAGE. It has the potential to be INCREDIBLY damaging and heavy. Usually, Harmony renders your image once per (deformer.) to deform it. When you put a peg under your deformer: Everytime it moves Harmony needs to recalculate the layer each frame of pegged movement. Each Frame. Each. Individual. Frame. Do what you want, but just know what fire you're playing with.
