A quick rigging inspection before you head out can save problems once underway.

This dude gives more raw information in 7 minutes than some other channels do in an hour. I trust every word Capt. Wayne says.

radioguy1620 i don't know why some riggers insist on sharp cotter pins sticking out ready to rip someone open. It's not that difficult to remove cotter pins that have their ends clover leafed back into the turnbuckles. Whenever possible, i lock turnbuckles with a #6 round head machine screw in place of each cotter pin, with a nylock. After they're tight, break off the extra screw length and file smooth. Sometimes a fender washer under the head of the locking screw and another one under the locknut makes them sit better.

Just got a boat with StaLok rigging. Looks ok but is a few years old. I am wondering if I unscrewed the fitting can I inspect the wires inside, then refit, without damage?
