Rigging a Trolling Spoon for Pier Fishing - Crazy Results!

In this video, I show you how to rig a trolling spoon/Clark Spoon for pier fishing at the Skyway. The spoon rig allows you to catch lots of fish with ease. You can cast it a mile and it's super deadly on fish species such as mackerel, bluefish, blue runners, kingfish and jacks. As you can see, we catch numerous fish species in just a short period on camera, we also show you what NOT to do, such as over hand cast with an extremely long leader, it's dangerous for you and the people around you. In this video, you see a guy fishing rather close for the pier to be empty, he over hand cast and smacks a car with a two ounce lead that leaves a rather large dent in the back of the car. What you need to complete this rig:
#0 Clark spoon
One or two once trolling weight
Thirty to forty pound leader and a stout spinning rod and reel: amzn.to/2KIPegg / amzn.to/2KK9Ogh
I also show you how to cast a trolling lure and provide many essential rig and skyway fishing tips. If you want to know how to catch spanish mackerel before the fall run takes place, this video you should watch entirely. Went out yesterday to the Skyway and used this technique and had success with the Spanish Mack's. The bait was thick, the drive over from Orlando was painful but it was a beautiful way to spend the day, while fishing a different technique and 'acquiring the the targeted species' with it, thanks for sharing!

Unbelievable! I'd be so pissed if I was the driver. I would have told them if I would have noticed it on the bridge. I didn't catch it until I started editing unfortunately. I knew he smacked the snot out of the car though, it was much louder than the audio sounded on camera.

@@Saltyscales ,thats why you stressed the importance of NOT casting overhead with all that line and lead trailing, you can hear it hit the light and then the back of the car, great video as always,Tight Lines..

So did the idiot who damaged the car give them his insurance information or offer to fix the huge dent? That is unacceptable. I would have said something to him if I was the owner. Unreal with some fisherman, just love to roll right on top of someone.

The only time over hand casting is dangerous is when you don’t know what you’re doing 😂

If you have a substantially large leader, its dangerous, doesn't matter your experience level.
