Rig Rundown: Adam Shoenfeld
Музыка
Adam Shoenfeld has helped shape the tone of modern country guitar. How? Well, the Nashville-based session star, producer, and frontman has played on hundreds of albums and 45 No. 1 country hits, starting with Jason Aldean’s “Hicktown,” since 2005. Plus, he’s found time for several bands of his own as well as the first studio album under his own name, All the Birds Sing, which drops January 28. Shoenfeld recently let PG’s John Bohlinger in on some of his sonic secrets, running through his session rig at East Nashville’s 3Sirens studio (visit: www.3sirens.com/).

I've known Adam for years, besides being an amazing musician, he's also one of the nicest people that you will ever meet. He's as genuine as he was long before he became well known. I treasure our friendship, Adam is a remarkable person.
This guy is so intelligent with every subtle move in his tone and playing style. I’m so blown away!!!
Wow how fun was that , tanks man!
A great rig rundown Adam is just smokin. Seems like he is a very down to earth guy with s ome very interesting equipment. Love this one John a smashing rig rundown now back to my playing. Lol 🎸🎼🎸🎼😎😎💙
Awesome RR! Great to see and hear a musician demo his sound. Thanks!
Session man! Killer player and great rundown PG!
15:15 I feel like I’m in a parallel universe with John saying that haha. Good stuff.
OMG that expression pedal!!!! Controlling multiple effects with different sweeps looks so damn useful, GAS just hit me hard.

I like the way this guy shops for gear! great sounds
Jesus. Talk about a rig rundown that makes me want to actually stop watching and play. (That tele into the EBO tone!) Thanks, guys.

I'm in shock. I never thought I'd see a Nashville session guy using an X2N.

X2Ns have always been impossible for me to control. They're just... a Lot. Only guy I ever knew to make em sound perfect besides this guy is Chuck Schuldiner.

@@k.g.alatore355 True, but they seem to be more suited for what Chuck played than for anything else. There's a picture of Dave Murray in the cd booklet for Iron Maiden's Killers, where he's using an SG with what appears to be an X2N in the neck. His hand is obscuring the bridge pickup except for a tiny area but it looks like there might be an X2N in there as well. However, that's the only time I've ever seen him using them either. He probably found them hard to control too.
amazing gear! really good guitar player! seems like a nice guy...... but he is contributing to the gentrification of Americana music. Bro-Hawk and all. Stay as far away from Nashville as you can people!(and yep, I used to live there).
In the top five ever.
Love this trem.. great

That Everb is killer!
"my shit's never in tune!" "i know!" shots fired! haha

Sounds good
My box of rock is going on my board ASAP!
Dirty Honey, Mamouth, Dead Sara, the Starbenders. Rigs to rundown. Adam Jones? And revisit Scott Holiday
I was born 1964. TYVM. I want to be like Adam. CALL ME!!! Just bought Box of Rock. Tonebone HotBrit Great. Who knows??
"I should probably change the strings more, but that's what the treble knob is for". You would never know from the beefy tone that one Gibson was sporting year old strings.
Cool
If it wasn't for the fact that Jeff was in a global hits band, ya probably wouldn't know him either. It's guys like these(and there aren't many) who the musicians come to for a winner tune...humble, smart, funny and legendary.
The goatkeeper reminds me of the Boss SL-20 with the clicking except it doesn't have a lock in track like the goatkeeper. Both killer pedals!
