Great rundown. Lifeforms SV1 was also my "gateway drug" into modular, and still in my case.

Great video, interesting to see how you are using yours - as you say, everyone can use it differently! Some useful stuff you've got going on. I miss the Eloquencer and it looks like it is much more performance based now as a sequencer with newer firmware updates. 👍🏻

Eloquencer is great and love being able to see 8 tracks on one screen super easy to use and save presets too.

Love the Eloquencer sequencer and Queen of Pentacles. Best sequencer/drum voice combo for modular.

Nice run through and thanks for sharing. You’ve got a great workflow set up there. Mine still changes daily depending what kinda video I’m wanting to create.

Hey mate no worries! Since this video that I filmed on Friday I’ve moved stuff around already twice hahahaha. All because of the stereo mixer. Now using it as a router for signals to two different effects units

@@ThesisOfSyn have you thought about the Doefer 182-2 seq switch for this instead of using mixer, only 3hp I got one from Juno for £47.00 really useful utility module????

I actually did! but then it ‘either or’…. With the mixer I have a smooth blend from one to the other by using the pans. So all the way left is one fx unit and all the way right is the other. But then I have a smooth percentage balance between them on a sweep. So useful

Hey boss, Firstly thanks for the music and videos! Really hope you haven’t stopped making the vids, best modular vids on youtube, none of the pretentious bullsh*t, just a great, funny vibe with dope music! I started exactly like you, MPC 2000xl for years, moved to mostly software and back to hardware now. I got a PM Lifeforms 2 years ago and got the bug. Recently thought I’d add a few modules to it and grab an 84hp case. Then saw your videos and the progression of your case over a few months ::) I realised I’d be exactly the same, so I ordered a mantis. 1 month in and and the mantis is full and my second case arrived yesterday! Haha Jesus, that eurocrack joke isn’t as funny anymore :) From one addict to another would love to get your advice on how you were syncing up in this configuration? My Pams arrived yesterday and I see you were sending midi from the MPC, to Lifeforms to Pams. I’m trying to go DAW (PT and Abelton mostly) beat clock to Lifeforms to Pams, but if I’m running at 120BPM Pams is running 4x slower (30 bpm) @ 24ppqn. (I can drop this setting but it makes the sync sh*t) Is that box thing you’re pointing to in the corner helping you out? I can’t figure it out. All the research I do (a lot!) leads to ‘buy this’ ‘buy that’ etc. So I want to be sure it’ll work before I buy anything else that doesn’t make a dope noise :) Thanks man! Much love

Easy! Thanks for the kind words. I’ve actually now massively downsized my Eurorack setup to a single row of 84hp and only kept a handful of ‘desert island modules’ all still running from the mpc still but using one of the cv outs to send gates out to pams acting as clock. The little box in the corner was just the other end of the patchbay. The ppqn thing was a ball ache if I’m honest as it was quite laggy so using the gate out on the mpc with a faster rate works out so much better and tighter. Syncing it with PT and Ableton, is now just using Ableton link as the mpc and protools both support it. Having said that, most of the time I just press play live in time to whatever is in protools like a Dj cue. (Sometimes I fuck it up)

@@ThesisOfSyn Sound! Thanks for the reply. Can't believe you've downsized, really expected your next video to look like a Colin Benders vid :) Seems all roads lead to the MPC! I'm in. Going back full circle to the MPC would actually feel great. Haven't used the newer ones, love my 2000xl (although it mostly just collects dust now) The MPC One seems to have all the cv bits I need right now, think i'll give it a go. I'm 5K deep tho, so it hurts a bit :) You planning anymore vids? Your channel was getting recommended to me on youtube quite a bit. I guess it'd be the same for heads looking up modular stuff. Anyway, hope you're well, thanks for your help, and hope to see some new vids soon. D

If you look at the edge of SV-1 PCB it’ll say what version it is. Rev.6 & up has all the improvements & fixes. Early versions have more “issues”
