    Coming from a M109r, a true muscle bike from indian with a power plus, a 260 rear tire, single sided swing arm ala triumph rocket 3 gt, full size 6 gallon fuel tank, 21" front wheel, with pegs that can moved like the triumph.

    Here is my issue that stops me from downsizing off a bagger. The Sport Chief doesn’t have enough fairing, has no speaker option, but has Bluetooth with hand control options for track and volume from factory. The Low Rider St has bigger fairing, has option for speakers, but no factory option to control track and audio. Both manufacturers missed the mark but in opposite ways. Audio is important for me.

    Polaris should bring back out the victory Vegas and the victory jackpot and put that one08 motor in both of them. Those two would be hot rod bikes. The jackpot had the 250 mm wide rear tire and that would be an awesome muscle cruiser. Both of those bikes were under 700lbs.

    I think the conversation no one is mentioning is whether it makes financial sense to make a PowerPlus based cruiser. People say they want it, but are they going to spend the $20k to get it? I’d make the same argument about a big bore kit. The tech is there clearly in KOTB. It’s a matter of when and if they think the market will buy enough of it to make sense.

    That’s a very good point. If the muscle bike came out right now I would want it but the garage is a little full and hard choices would have to be made.

    polaris has a history of the muscle bike. take a look at the jackpot during the victory days. As a victoy, indian, and harley owner. Im tired of the "copied" crying. More competition drives innovation. I am excited to see what the power plus 108 in a new frame setup.

    I’m hearing the only reason why they didn’t put the Power Plus in the Sport Chief configuration is because they haven’t developed a frame for it yet. If they created a V-Rod/Breakout type frame design with a 240 rear tire and a Power Plus-Screw any kind of fairing it would be GAME OVER.

  • @TheBeardedBobber

    @Adventures of the Bearded Bobber Look my guy I'm not saying that the sport chief is a horrible bike. The bike you would like to see Indian build next is the bike I would like to have seen this year. Just like you said you would like to see the scout be upgraded some way and I agree with you on the Springfield I would love for them to actually do more with that platform.

    @@TheBeardedBobber I'm considered the Super Chief or a dressed Sport Chief with a Lloyd'z big bore 126 or 131 and their supercharger. But... now I've seen the Buell Super Cruiser 1190 X RSD. If the ergonomics work for me, the Buell could easily be my next bike. If DH uses the HD Sportster S tech in a more ergonomic compact package, that could be a serious contender too... But, the Indian has my attention. I love the Indian script badge on the tank, the over all look, the tech (now HD Sportster S is catching up) Then there is the fact that the clutch housing of the primary is like 7" forward on the Indian over the larger (separated motor / transmission) Harleys. The Harleys clutch is just in my way as it is directly beneath the leg cutouts of the HD saddle. The Indian gives a clear shot to the ground. This singular fact is a total game changer. That clutch housing is a deal breaker for me regarding HD.

    Harley bikes are good man and I’m not saying the INDIAN motorcycles are not good. I think INDIAN motorcycles are increasingly forgetting to keep just smooth and clean lines or maybe it on purpose. The fit and finished + material on a Harley is unmatched. Probably the BMW R18 is close.

  • @TheBeardedBobber

    @TheBeardedBobber

    Ya might just be personal preference. Maybe a couple pieces could be better but I like my 4 Indian motorcycles more than anything harley offers currently. That new bmw bagger is pretty cool though.
