Huge Savings for Scouts!!! $250 Octane 2-1 Performance Exhaust fits! Check Description!

(Insert disclaimers... You know, like this is probably for entertainment only, if you live in a socialist or communist state within the union, don't try this at home, etc. If it's too loud, you may be too old, all that sorta stuff.)
At the time of this video, Leaders Rpm, an extremely reputable company that I've been buying Octane parts from, for years, has these exhausts for $250 and free 2 Day shipping!
Learning to change my exhaust was the first mechanical type activity I learned how to do, other than changing oil. This opened the door for me to learning so much more. Simply to say, this is a task most beginners can easily learn to do, and in this instance could save you a lot of $$$. But PLEASE check the caveats below.
If you don't like it loud, you'll have to install the muffler. To install the muffler you'll have to have the mounting bracket, which you may still have on your bike if you are still running OEM, or didn't know you could remove it when you did prior upgrade.

The Octane and Scout, prior to 2025 models at least, are completely interchangeable. But Polaris electing to dissolve Victory in favor of Indian has left many shops with old inventory they cannot move so easily.
This is a prime example of how to upgrade your exhaust and save huge $$$ whole doing so.
Caveats:
1. There aren't any instructions available for install of the specific exhaust
2. If you don't any longer have the OEM exhaust mount, install of the muffler isn't likely to work.
3. This install I've done results in very deep and throaty tone, but is also VERY LOUD!
I do have a similar Indian 2-1 exhaust install guide I was able to find, which helped keep things moving the the right direction. Use the following link:

As with any exhaust, you can modify the can by removing the components inside. I however prefer the bike very loud, and running without the can was my intention all along.

I ran V&H Grenades on the Octane for years and loved them. Only gave them up because they wouldn't work with passenger pegs. But great pipes.

Loudness is not a right parameter. In general V&H sound terrible on this bike very high frequency sound without any power in it...

So true, if performance is the end goal. And also true how some pipes bring out the higher pitch. While I like the look of straight pipes I had recently cut very short, the tone was off and the decrease in bikes responsiveness was clear. At lower RPM these pipes sound awesome, and the bike response is far better in the power band.

Thanks so much for the video! I was watching your heel/toe shifter video and found this. Do you have forward controls? I'm thinking about ordering these pipes, but my back brake control is definitely farther back than yours!

Yes, Free Spirit extended controls. But that should not be an issue to be running stock. Scout mount is very wide compared to Octane. I will grab a photo tomorrow to show the space that would still be available with stock position.

This video may help visualize the space. I filled in some additional info in description, such as making more space by removing the controls mounting bolts temporarily while you do the install.
