I just got a 05 trx 450r with a 480 bore kit full pro circuit t4 exhaust and half the air box lid out. It is a complete monster. I stumbled across your videos looking for trx stuff and I am not disappointed on any of the videos

My brother has a DASA 500 kit in his 450r for 8 years now and it rock's! Still has the factory clutch with lots of drag racing with puddle's! What an awesome combination!!

@@tonito6197 slightly because of the 12 to 1 piston. But starts and runs like stock just a lot more power everywhere..

My buddies 07 trx freakin shreds i really hope in the future they bring these back i will definitely buy!

Nitrorc 77 get one brother I also was the same. I bought a trx450r for 2k and I’m 32 and I’m having a lot of fun on it now. Just trails and fire roads. Fun to ride again. Do it before you get too old haha 🤣👍🤪🍻👋

Nitrorc 77 ya that’s all you need keep an eye out for a good deal. I got mine for a great deal they do go reasonably priced now days everyone wants a sxs or big 4x4 so the deals are out there. I’ve heard the raptors also ride very good in the trails but to be honest the Honda is very smooth I expected something different but it’s ride nice. 43 is young too my brother in law is 41 and still rides the dirt bikes but does complain once in a while of a sore back haha. I’m convincing him to ride atv it’s a little more forgiving I think

I was gonna pick mine up last Friday because it's done but since the state shut down now I don't know when I will be able to pick it up. We have some of the same mods done you our quads

danny scarberry Damn sorry bro that really sucks :(. My buddies kx250f got stolen in September. Shame people have to steal something because they cant figure out any other way to get it.

Was going to say don't feel bad about keeping up to that Trx because of the lower wider geometry and weight advantage. The raptor still held its ground. Great camera footage and changeovers looks pro.

Another great video, Pete! I gotta tell ya, riding Laine's 400ex widened out, is what made me curious about widening out the Raptor. With the +2, +1 a arms, and an adjustable rear axle, it feels just as planted as the Honda's do! I was blown away by the difference it made to the handling. I'm pretty light, but even with the stock shocks (adjusted a little stiffer), it handles a lot better. Especially through the turns. You know how, when you are breaking into a turn, and the front end dives? Well, that is gone! All you have to do is lean into it, and it tracks right through. Any way, if you ever get a chance to ride one that has been widened, take it! I think it might change your opinion. I got the whole works for less than $500. In my opinion, so far...it's worth every penny! I'm trying to get a video of it together, but I've got a 9yr old Great Dane, that is sick, and I've been having to keep an eye on him. Hopefully, I'll get it out in the next few days.

Dude I ride a 17 yfz450r with full race exhaust and it sounds mean but that trx sounds brutal!! Fat sounding exhaust, good stuff!

I own a built 05 basically identical to that one but black and they’re a fun time 🤟🏻

In the future if you build your raptor into a 734 with 11:1 compression and a hot cam 2 or 3 and FCI intake and bored out throttle body that will make it a true trail beast......I just did my 06 2 years ago and it rips like hell

Wow...That brings back some awesome memories Pete. Thanks! I had a 05 Trx with a cylinder works Bigbore kit , hotcam2 and a Baldwin Fcr carb Was so so fun and very reliable. But I’m with you on going with the Raptor. Trx was fast but required way more effort… I love my 700..I can ride all afternoon and it doesn’t make me walk like a 90-year-old man the next day LOL. That ATV park looks sweet. Thanks again for a great vid!

My 450 is stock with bolt ons and it’s scary fast I can imagine what a beast that is

I have a Suzuki LT-Z 400 and I'm super happy with it, plenty of power for me ( Plus Short Gears so it pulls kinda hard ahah ) but I can't imagine driver a raptor or a 450, amazing

I had an 08 TRX 700 xx and to be honest it was fast ...like 89 mph stock but those 450 r's are straight beast and are super fast with a little work !

Had a 700xx and changed the gearing where it would top out around 65 and man that thing was nasty torq

Never had a 4-wheeler but used to have an 84 and 86 ATC 250R, and before that an old Yamaha 225DX 3-wheeler and KX80 dirt bike. My riding friends had ATC 350x, ATC200X and Warrior 4-wheeler, oh and the one had a Big wheel...all before your time, bro, haha.

@@PeteHager Your Raptor 700R is my favorite new ATV, it just does it all and looks great doing it, but my favorite of all time is the1986 ATC250R which was a 2-stroke racing trike that was very fast for it's time, and is pretty much legendary. And in my nostalgic eyes is the most beautiful ATV every created. Unfortunately they banned 3-wheelers, because there was too many accidents...You really had to know what you were doing to pilot one. Never had a 450 I've had a trx 300ex a 400ex a 250r and a 90 but I'd assume there close to the 250r ??

New sub !!! I just got a 07 with hrc 1 kit and ported and its sweet !! Had a raptor 660 before that was more torque this one a bit faster

I kind of miss the 2002 raptor 660 but there's nothing like a red when it's dropped low

The mud can definitely be frustrating on a sport quad. I don't mind it from time to time but I prefer staying clean 😅

Love this video that Honda is built and sounds awesome buddy of mine has a 04 Honda 450 with a hmf full exhaust and a couple other small things done to it and it rips fun as hell

I think you should consider doing some suspension work. now you don't have to replace it all you could do a budget setup and just send your stock shocks out for a revalve and respring for your weight. I think youd be pretty surprised on what a difference just that would make as far as handling goes and add a stabilizer as well haha.

There is a reason the Raptor is called king of the dunes. When I get on my Raptor after riding my 450 you really notice how much pull the 700 has. Makes the 450 feel like a toy.

Maintenance is expensive and often on highly tuned 450's. Just like MX dirtbike 450's.

Lifted_Above definitely. That’s why I got the raptor first. This way when I eventually get another 450 I’ll be able to bring both quads Incase I have any mechanical issues

Thank you! I have about 20 batteries so I just charge everything the day before. I have a Sony A6000 Mirrorless Camera I use for tripod shots and sometimes I fly my small DJI spark drone around as well. I have 3 gopro hero7's I bring on every ride. No problem. I have a 05 trx450. Waiting for it to come back having the motor totally built. Big bore ,stroker ,cam ,valves , fcr carb everything. Been watching lots of videos for now it’s all I got.
