I am the same only doing 30cm jumps but i change riding schools and I think I might move a stage up soon. tip if you wanna jump but can't go any higher then just Chang riding schools worked for me!

Ahhh I've ridden at the barn with Spex, Jolly and Boogey and I rode all three of them and loved it there before I switched!!!!

Sagen Wolff Same, except it's the neighbors horses, I have tried to convince my parents but they just aren't listening so I'm slowly saving up. And I live in new zealand so there is only one local school, but tons of paddocks. Hopefully I can save up and get to adopt, or buy.

wish I had started riding earlier then I did and my parents encouraged me to I would have had some great videos. oh well, save up the video's now for a dew years on! :-)

I rode a 15 hand morgan when I was 8 (I was 4"11 I think LOL) and now I ride a 17 hand Thoroughbred and I am 10. He is a sweety I got him last year for my b-day

Because they have probably moved, or because they wanted to learn more and they've learned the most that they could've learned at each barn.

How come Maya was always switching horses and Lauren was staying on the same horse for long periods of time?

I've been riding for about 5 years, and I ride twice a week, and I jump 2' - 2'6

Jua T I've been riding 4 1/2 - 5 years and I ride everyday (just about) on my own horse (I've had him 7 months) and I have jumped 1 metre on him because he's inexperienced, but we could easily go higher because he has scope. Before I got him I rode twice a week.

When I was at 5 years of riding, I was loaning a naughty pony, Monty. I was jumping him up to 3''6 on his best days and courses of 3ft. When I started loaning (At the 5 year mark) I was riding 3 hours a week, 3 days a week. Before this I rode once a week for 30 minutes. I own him now :o)

I have been riding for 6 years self taught because no one payed attention to me at the horse camp and i was ignored and am not allowed to canter, why can you guys canter in just a year but takes me 6+ years to convince someone to let me

Honestly i think its better to start around the age of 9-12+ because their really is no point to starting earlier.. You cant actually understand horses or riding in general at an age below 9. I just hate it when people boast about how early they started riding. Please dont feel discouraged if you started later than other people. I mean i started at 9 years old! Its really not about when you start :) dont let people make you think it is :)

NO KIDDING! I used to event but my old barn had cross country stuff and two rings with jumps, but I've been doing jumpers for a year now and just started showing in them, it's been pretty successful and I had my first trillium show today
