The Tibidabo Funicular is a funicular railway in the city of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. The line connects Plaça del Doctor Andreu, the upper terminus of the Tramvia Blau, with the summit of Tibidabo mountain, where there is an amusement park and a church, the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor.
The funicular is one of three in Barcelona, the others being the Funicular de Vallvidrera and the Funicular de Montjuïc. The Tibidabao funicular was recently fully modernized, with futuristic new cars. Enjoy!

Great stuff. These trains always confused me as to how the hell they didn't derail while going over points/switches. Then once I read about the double flanged wheel on one side and the unflanged, wide wheel on the other so it didn't fall into the gaps, it all made sense!
Looks it go as fast, like the air-train in JFK.

I usually like trains, but this is the most boring one I’ve seen! It goes straight down a mountain and does nothing else. I think they should replace it with a rollercoaster straight down the mountain. If that’s to much work they can “just” double track it, make one go up slowly and the other side uncouple from the cable and shoot down, going through a loop at the bottom. Much more interesting, and this could qualify it as a high speed train!

I mean, the whole point of a funicular is moving people up and down a step gradient xd, it's not an attraction of the park, just a way to get to it. Also, the views if you just turn the head a bit to the left are amazing :)
