I'm from the US and during the pandemic I have actually found train travel vlogs incredibly soothing and helpful for my anxiety. I just found your videos a few days ago and have really loved them! I love how much detail you go into and how you often include food in your vlogs. I still have not traveled to Japan but it is on my travel bucket list and your vlogs will be so helpful for good ways to travel around the country, thank you for your content!

Not just US brother...I think people all around the world who are affected can say that the train travel vlogs/videos very calming...I'm from Bangladesh (south Eastern Asia) and we have it very bad too on this side of the world....these train videos where people make 14-20 or more hours journey overnight are so soothing that since 2020....these types of videos have become a part of my daily routine

I totally love how Japan manages its infrastructure. Efficiency, knowing what is required for their customers, through to a network that is made to transport huge numbers of people in comfort, safety, style. Well done Japan, I have much admiration for your management of your country. In comparison to here in the UK, you guys are decades ahead, seriously.

Hey, I'm a half japanese guy and I was born in Matsusaka! I've been here for the past month and, when I saw the Marm-Aeon mall in the background while you were eating the Matsusaka beef dish (and yes, that is perfect timing, eating it while passing through Matsusaka), it reminded me of my childhood, I spent so much time there... that place sadly closed 2 weeks ago 😢 Watching your videos, I want to go visit some of these places in summer, after I sort out my personal stuff back in my (other) home country. Thanks for the awesome (and funny) content! P.S I have never been on the Shimakaze, but I have been on all other trains on Kintetsu (from local, semi-express, express, and limited express/tokyu) and I'll have to say, they're the best thing after Shinkansen and genuinely much more convenient, although pricier than JR for a lot of reasons. Best part is, they have 1, 3 and 5 day passes too, so if you ever end up in Mie or Nara prefectures (and Kyoto, Osaka or Nagoya), these can save you a lot of money!

Well there are many countries that have amazing train rides through their country, the country side, through the city, along the coast or through the mountains, and people traveling from other countries just to go on scenic train rides in other countries, sleep in train cabins, eat luxurious food, meet people from all over, or just use the train to get across the country if they don’t like to fly in an airplane. Just sit back and enjoy the views. My husband and I took a long train ride through parts of Alaska, it was comfortable, good food and the views were beautiful, it was awesome! 😁

Ah! Thank you for that part at the very end. I kept getting distracted by the thing by the shoe shelves. Then again, all of the shoe horns I've seen prior to this have been on the much smaller side. First time I've seen one that can be used standing up, though it makes perfect sense in this setting. Thank you again for a lovely experience.

I'm totally living vicariously through you! Loved the experience and thanks for taking us along. I gotta laugh at the narrow corridors though. 😂 Japan really said, their people are not going to be obese or even a bit weighty 😭😅

You are hilarious. Like there were multiple points in this video where I honestly LOLd. Also, I hate when you get those pull-apart chopsticks and they don't break evenly. Keep up the good work, dude.
