Riding Bikes | JANUS HALCYON 250 Hardtail in BROOKLYN - First Ride + Impressions around NYC - v219

Took a test ride on one of the brand new all American made Janus motorcycles - based out of Indiana. Janus came to Union Garage NYC with a handful of bikes - way too much fun was had. We took a quick spin around Redhook.
THIS IS NOT A REVIEW - just a quick first impression.

My wife and I went to their "preview" party a couple years ago, up in Goshen IN. Neat old brick garage they hand build these bikes in. They use only the best parts, and the finish is impeccable. Would be a great city bike, or for me, a 3rd bike. On my wish list. I like these guys. If you go up to their garage, hit the coffee/bake shop next door.

Dude I am green with envy and super freaking jealous! Would have loved to be there and rip around on those. They look so much fun. Would not mind owning one or two or three! It didn't bother me that there was no commentary. They sound awesome.

+Hold Fast Films Yea, I felt the same way after riding it - i would LOVE to own one of the cafe racer ones and just remove everything extra off of it and rip around Brooklyn. A nice local bike. It was WAY too much fun to just twist the go stick back at all times. I'm a huge fan of these - plus the builder dudes had the best attitudes ever.

Thank you for the comment and for watching. This was not a review, but just a simple ride and first impressions, as the title suggests. I was indeed just responding to the bike, to traffic, and to other things, just doing a classic vloggy vlog thing that I do which is not meant to be all that informative but just entertaining, if you're into that sort of thing. This was my first and only time riding this bike and I knew nothing about it. Thank you very much for watching!

you know ... shifting a manual transmission badly does not increase your safety, as you clearly are implying with your response; in fact ironically, it's just dangerous and not gr8 4 bike! P.S. I'm not talking about fast accel .... just wait until rpms hit like 3,000 at least and most importantly... keep the rpm's in power band or NO ACCEL is possible (you know ...like when you need it). It's just bad driving :/.
