    I had Halcyon 250 #682. Loved it but sold it to buy Halcyon 450 #163. Totally different being physically bigger and more piwerful. Take the leap! You'll love it!

    How would you rate the 250 as a Starter bike for someone who never rode before ?

    @@Setton_Exile There's a lot to consider. Road surface condition; it's a hard tail. Expectations; you have none having never ridden. It feels sometimes that you've gone back 100 years. If you do get one, learn on it, keep it but for longer rides maybe get something a little larger. There's just so much to say to a new rider. I've been at it for fifty years, now on my eighth bike. Did the size progression up to 1700cc and about four years ago went small again, but still have a 1500cc cruiser for trips. Good luck with it all.

    I had the self same issue on mine when I was cruising through the Phoenix area. I was on a work trip, and picked up mine H250 #854, trailered it along the way back through texas and Arizona, drove it for the first time in Phoenix, and the first trip out got a flat rear tire. Put in a heavier replacement tube, and it has been great since. The one from Janus was a bit light weight. Great bike, and like you said in your video, folks are taken back quite a bit wherever I stop to ask about it. They can’t believe it is a new built today motorcycle. Janus really builds a great bike, the 250 is a total BLAST!

    Thanks for confirming that. They told me they had a bad batch of tubes. I put a heavy duty dual sport tube in mine as well so keeping my fingers crossed when I bring it cross country in June.

    I’m really glad you mention a top gear indicator light. As a new owner I’m still getting use to the bike but so far every time I get on it I question if I’m in 5th gear. Just listening to the engine it’s a tough call so you have to check and it’s always annoying when you do and you’re already there. It might be a tall order for them to do but it sure would be nice.

    Interesting editing effect from the GoPro. Clutch cable and wiring has a gap🤣 Never ever saw a top gear indicator light. I would have to get the 450 I already have a Kawasaki z125pro. Same top speed

    Rip, I don't know if you pull over into the breakdown lane often, but that collects all the crap from the road. Great place for flat tires. You are a bikers, biker. Az to NH on a 250cc damn. You may have brought up top speed in another video. Can that scooter do 65 mph comfortably?

    It can do 65MPH but I would not say either comfortably and definitely not for a long time.

    😆I get your point. The only thing Chinese on it is the Honda cloned engine. Took me a while for me to get over that. Honestly, what offset it is that everything else is hand crafted in the US by local artisans. It is slow but that's why it's called a Rambler. All things considered the price is fair.Thanks for watching.

    The “workaround” for the engine: There’s a guy (Devin, one of the founders) right down the street from Janus, who rebuilds the engine into a stage 4. His business is called MotoCult. So, after this is done, it’s completely USA built motorcycle that will 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds. It will easily do 85 MPH +. Not too bad for a little 250.

  • @matthatter93

    @matthatter93

    13 күн бұрын

    @@stefanfiler that’s a solid workaround. The only issue is the added cost of that added onto the already very expensive bike. I’m assuming he doesn’t just sell crate motors to just ship and swap?
