It's those dirt sections that make me glad I'm on my Sporty. Way better in the dirt than the big twin. My buddy always said when I got a big twin I'd never ride the Sporty again but I still pick the Sporty most of the time. Sportster powered death traps rule!

Dude totally agree! The big twin is a lot heavier and harder to manage on the dirt, if i had a cheap beater evo sporty, it would be game on with the trails and camping- dirtster 😝🤘sporties rule!! Cheers

@@ironheadsally June 7th is the Sportster Summer Happy Valley Rally by Lowbrow. A Sportster only PABDRX run. That's the Pennsylvania Backwoods Discovery Route. Basically we throw knobbies on a Sportster then go bombing around the woods on fire roads and generally being stupid for 3 days. To bad you're in the wrong part of the country, it seems right up your alley. Before you ask, yes guys have shown up on Ironheads. I think I am the only one to have run it on a hardtail though. Lol

Oh i could not imagine the traffic u go through out there! Everyone in a hurry. I know it sounds cliche but if everyone shut up and walked barefoot in the grass for a few minutes, or enjoyed a ride in nature, the world would be a different place 💚✌️🏁 stay safe out there, crazy news stories everyday at truck stops and interstates!

No idea as of how the hell i got here but all i know is that i ride motorcycles and i like camping and what ive learned from your video is that ive been holding myself back with all the gadgets and fancy trinkets along with the hamster wheel of working for the man. Good to see you getting out there on bike adventures. Doesn't matter what you ride. If you must have a Harley, you have a number of options in the 5k range. For an American cruiser for 3 to 5 k I'd go with a Victory Vegas because you will have minimal to no wrenching, no leaks, plenty of power and great highway gearing. Or for the same pluses with a standard, a modern Triumph Bonneville is a great option for 5k or less. P.S. a bagger or Honda Civic could go anywhere you went on this trip.

My setup is a lot like yours. A pouch meal at night, ramen cup and coffee for breakfast with bottled water throughout the day. Tent, chair, table, small stove, solar power bank to charge the phone, sleeping bag, air mattress and whatever clothing/personal items. Doesn't take much to be comfortable.

Absolutely! If we needed all the amendments of home, we would have stayed there 😜 haha! Honestly changing from air mattress to little cots was a HUGE game changer, we kept popping the cheap air pads lol. Happy travels, keep it simple and enjoy ✌️

Tag sales are great too got my tent chairs res I had 23$ you guys are cool your video s are awesome to watch on break at the pond now and after the holiday I'm heading to the Berkshires in Mass I camped in Utah and wish I was there sunsets are so beautiful there but Mass is pretty cool too beauty is everywhere,A state of mind moving on...

Yeah, that's great. Y"all live out west, i live in Florida, summer camping sucks because of the heat and humidity. don't get me wrong, there are some great camping spots, but out west it's beautiful. The meals you had, looked good, i eat Mountain House myself. i wish i could find a bike like y'all have for 5 grand. neat video, cool bikes and great scenery, and y'all seem to be great folks, lookin for more of your adventures.

It’s really hard to find BLM land here on the east coast. You pretty much gotta pay for a campground or take the chance of stealth camping on someone’s land. Love the content guys

I`ve read that after Sturgis ends the folks often leave their brand new tents. Something to consider if y`all have a run out that way in your truck. Figure on getting a few $100 or better 1 use tents is a score.

@@ironheadsally When I lived in Tucson, I used to ride this road a lot going south to Bisbee. If you haven't been to Bisbee, try it out.

How often do you get harassed by cops just for existing. I have back issues and stop often to stretch and sit down. They don't ask are you OK. They ask if I been drinking. Apparently it's suspicious to park on a side rd and dig out my water.

We try to avoid 5-0 at all costs, they tend to look at us and figure we are racing or instigating something 🤣 ask “am i being detained” and they just tell us to leave. We see less of them on back roads thankfully lol cheers

Hard to go from an fxr to a softtail ya know 😜 lol we are just happy it stays in the family and someone that doesnt work on bikes can get a cheap evo that is ready without having to pay a shop! Keep em on the road and pass along the love 💚
