e30 fuel gauges danced from the factory. We just ignore it now and track mileage... except most of our odometer gears are also broken.

Just a tuning problem cuz sometimes when you you tune a engine the electronics will get some errors thinking that the car is out of gas (example)

@@bjornna7767 There's no reason to make a more sophisticated reading that will just add complexity to the car. If you come up with a just as cheap, reliable way of measuring vehicle speed based on actual speed compared to the ground, make a paper about it.
