Thank you for going over the repeat a cut. It took me 10 different videos to find what it does.

Great review. I bought the R4331 and the planer seems great but the manual leaves something to be desired. Thank you for explaining the different features. I feel much more confident in using the planer now.

Just ordered a 4331. Your review convinced me to make the decision. By the bye, ordering on the phone from HD can save you some $. I bought a R4512 Table saw about 3 months ago, and per the recommendation of a KZread reviewer, I called HD and mentioned that Lowe's had their Delta saw (very similar saw) on sale. I received a 15% discount and $25 gift card and free shipping. Did the same when I ordered a R4331 Planer yesterday, got a 20% discount and free shipping. Order by phone, you'll save some $.

I just can't believe!!! 8 seconds into the video and we are already seeing the tool in action. Every other person making a "REVIEW" video should come watch this video so they can see how a proper review is done. I am so SICK of clicking on videos that say review and all they are is watching some idiot taking the tool out of the packaging. WHAT THE HECK IS THE POINT OF MAKING AN "UNBOXING" VIDEO? You get an "A" for your very Awesome review! VERY WELL DONE. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Me too, it breaks my heart when I have to buy a different brand when the Ridgid model of what I'm looking for isn't good enough... for example the random orbital sander... the palm grip is too fat and uncomfortable to me, so I had to go with a different brand which was also almost half the price on sale

I've had a Rigid 4330 for about 4 years. Everything was great until the drive belt needed replacing. I removed everything that hold the right panel in place, but couldn't get the panel to release from the base. I called Rigid and they said I did everything right, and it should just lift off. It doesn't. I tried prying it up, pounding it up, etc. Nothing worked. Now I have to take to a repair shop for what should be an easy fix. Warranty doesn't cover this because it is considered normal wear and tear.

Hey Jared, I love my Ridgid but when I flipped the blades it no longer cuts flat. Left side is 1/16 to 3/32 deeper ...any thoughts on how to adjust ?

It's still holding up good. I just change/sharpen the blades when they start to dull out. I still recommend it.

you are probably taking too deep of a cut. If it's a hardwood like oak or maple, try removing no more than 1/64" at a time.

Hi, I also am new in wood working or should I say wood playing lol and I bought the RIDGID 13 " planer and it kept tripping the breaker switch but I prevailed but not knowing anything about it I wanted to use it, I read the instructions but it didn't tell me what I wanted to know. Like How to use it. Did I tell you I was new at this? Well I thought I did what I was suppose to and guess what? I guess I did something wrong cause the wood kicked back hit my knuckle tore my skin up and broke my finger. So now with that being said, I would like to ask you if you could give step by step instructions on how to use it. Every step. Thanks, Vicky

Sounds like your over working by taking too deep a bit. This isn't industrial planer ;remember. tale light bits and it will come out well if you haven't already dulled blade.

According to what I understood, it sounds like you may have hooked it up to a direct current outlet [DC] which would reverse the rolls on electricity sending your product backwards. Did you use a generator? Have the plugs been modified?

I have used the TP1300LS for years since 2006 . The price for 2 blades shot up from $30 to +80 bucks . Now RIDGID no longer carries the motor brushes & caps that fit many motors Ryobi included . Warranties are only as good as being able to get the parts ! Search it ? Eurton Electric on line has "Like" brushes & caps . item number 111004 i got the Eurton parts & they are complete crap . GOT A DEWALT i am now told Cutech has parts ...
