Sick video. Great footage and tastefully done Trek. You have inspired me to do something similar. Can you notice a big difference (pros or cons) of going mullet? Local shop has a 9.8xt for 7500 I am finding it difficult to pass.

Thanks for the comment buddy 👍 The bike did feel a little bit slower if I’m honest when I went mullet but as soon as I hit some trails the added agility and the way it rides, I ain’t going back put it that way 🫡 I’d suggest ride the bike as it is first and see how you get on, I kept my 29er rear wheel so can always go back, etc

Great video! Did you try the bike with a 205x65 shock? The rear travel increases to 152mm. Paired with mullet and 160 fork sounds great:)

Thanks for the comment, yeah, that’s the next upgrade/change I would make, have a bit more travel at the back, maybe the new vivid air shock… I am tempted… 👊👍

I put the same wheels on my exe with some continentals upgraded the stem and bars first, I’ll give the drivetrain a bit more stick before I change that nothing matches sunrace cassette random chain and a deore derailleur I guess that’s how they save money on a build.. I like the rear shock that came with my exe but I might try a lyric the 35 gold is pretty good though, really like the TRP brakes that came with my bike.
