Rad Power Bikes is a US based company also; they seem to be having lots of problems providing the support that one would expect from a US company. So it seems, being a US company does not guarantee a higher level of support and service

try buying a 'gocycle' or himiway, or eunorau, or a eahora, or ancheer. There are countless Chinese companies selling the same thing that you will just have to throw away. At least Rad is there providing parts.

Rad Power bikes grew too fast. They were a front runner and it caught up with them.

Can I get a free bike. I live in Nigeria and I could never afford a bike like this. It’ll be sweet for school. I am a university student 😢

The cadence magnet sensor should not be on the spoke. It's not a good design. The screw holding the magnet on the spoke can come lose, and if you have to adjust it, it gets stripped, and then the pedal assist no longer works. It's ridiculous that one part is what makes the bike work. I think the magnet should be permanently part of the rim of the wheel and the sensor permanently in the frame.

That is not where the cadence sensor is located. It is typically near the bottom bracket, depending on the model.

@kevinride1up611 well, that's where it is on the prodigy. Interesting, you don't know. The pedal assist does not work without the magnet that goes on the rear wheel spoke.

@@anymaru That's not the cadence sensor, that's the speed sensor for the speed readout. A cadence sensor is something different.

@@kevinride1up611 ok, speed censor. Whatever it's called. The bike doesn't work without it. And a better more sturdy design would be to have that magnet censor permanently part of the rim.

@@anymaru speed sensors are sensors that are generally speaking located on a wheel. Cadence or torque sensors are devices that communicate with the controller and are not located on a wheel.

Rad bikes got too big, too fast. Hard to keep a level of support. Ride1up has been more measured and focused on developing more relevant modern bikes. iMO
