I just ordered mine and boy am I excited! I hear this thing is a beast to assemble but I'm up for the challenge. I do hope my experience will be a smooth one! Update: I received my bike! Assembly for me, with lots of breaks, took about 3 hrs and it wasn't so bad! I'm incredibly happy with my new ebike!

Ride1 Up... Please listen....This bike should be easy (just time consuming) to put together, but it's not. Your instruction manual is very vague. It would be difficult to use just the manual to assemble this bike. Some of your buyers may not use or have access to KZread. This video is fine but it goes WAY TOO FAST for most people. This is my 2nd Ride1 Up e-bike (Cafe Cruiser is the other one). This is my 4th e-bike that I have assembled, so I wasn't scared off by the assembly process. But it wasn't that easy to assemble and it should have been. IMO some prospective customers are being scared off because of the "assembly stories/rumors." Please lengthen the video and slow down the instructions on all of the important parts. Don't get me wrong, I freaking LOVE my Cafe Cruiser and I fully expect to love this 700 Series just as much. I bought this one for my wife. I just don't want you to lose sales because of assembly problems/rumors. This e-bike is way too good for that.

Just got this e bike and have been setting it up with my Dad. Without my Dad I would NOT know what I’m doing lol. It’s no where near as bad putting it together as most people say. HOWEVER, you need to be at least a little mechanically inclined to do it, which I am not. I do 100% agree with you. Without my Dad I don’t know that I could even put it together, and the instructions would need to be 3x clearer than they are. They should definitely make the instructions easier. And I wouldn’t have let people saying it’s hard to put together stop me from getting it, however it did almost scare me a little. And I’m sure it makes a lot of people not purchase this bike.

On the contrary, the fact that I knew it was going to be hard to assemble was a come on for me lol This doesn't seem to bad as long as you follow the steps. I am disappointed that I don't have a torque wrench to use though...

I recently bought this model, it is my first Ebike and the first time I put one together, it took me 3 hours to actually enjoy it. It is not difficult but some nuts on the rear fender and taillight are difficult to access but nothing out of the ordinary. I am very happy, It is very well designed, the materials are of quality and the handling sensation is top.

Note for the rear light , the ratchet and socket they use in the video is not included. If you try to use the included wrench the traditional perpendicular way you will go insane. Instead pretend the wrench is a screwdriver and twist it on with your wrist. If you have heavy resistance that you can't overcome by twisting, it also works much better to place the wrench on the nut at a 45 degree angel rather than straight perpendicular . I see why for the tutorial they didn't use the wrench :)

If y'all could reduce the number of zip ties you use, that'd be great. - a bike mechanic But seriously, you guys have a great product. I just wish you'd look into full cardboard packing.

I have been on the fence between this bike and Aventon. After watching this assembly video and Aventon's I am leaning towards Aventon. Solely based on assembly. I am not a bike person. The more I have to assemble the more things can go wrong. This video is good for those who like working on bikes and those who should get familiar with how a bike works. I may change my mind because you do get more bang for the buck with Ride1up. Just wish they could make assembly a lot easier. I could have the bike shipped to the local bike store for assembly. Will look into this.

@@Ride1Up I can understand there will be some assembly like installing the handlebars and misc simple stuff like light, seat, and pedals but the crank and chain? Really? I saw a recent 700 assy video where a bike mechanic encountered a bent front rotor and bent rear derailer hanger causing chain skip. It required special alignment tools and skills to correct the problems. Grant it not everyone will experience these types of problems but they can happen. Did they happen pre-shipment or during shipment? Maybe Ride1up should include a QA inspector's slip showing parts included and the status of working parts. A good way to identify where all the problems are originating. Maybe the packaging needs updating because bikes are getting damaged during shipping or bikes are being rushed out the door prematurely. There are a lot of Direct-to Consumer E-bikes sellers to choose from. Personally, I prefer a bike that comes mostly assembled and without problems Vs specs. One person's opinion.

I've had nothing but trouble with this bike since I bought it. 2 flat tires within 6 months on my first one. Was hit by a car and bent the fork so that one was totaled, obviously that wasn't you guys fault so I ordered another one. While trying to assemble it I discovered that the bolt hole to mount the front light was stripped out before assembly. I'm beyond pissed because after being hit once I'm not riding my bike home in the dark, after work without a light. And the process of trying to get in touch with somebody to get this issue resolved has been tedious and frustrating. I'm honestly just gonna buy a bike from another company. I've spent over 3,000 dollars with this company and have had nothing but issues time and time again. Really disappointing because it is a really nice bike but I'm not spending anymore money with a company that would ship a faulty product and then make it so difficult to fix the issue

I'm curious I know your company promotes community instead of using the car which I've been doing with my e-bike. I have a Stromer st1 and I love it. Can I ride this bike in the snow. In the cold. It's seems like you guys have a good company. From what I heard.

Just bought one, build quality is nice, but my god do you need your own tools cause DO NOT USE THEIR ALLEN KEYS they fucking suck. Oh and when you tighten something you REALLY gotta tighten cause the for whatever reason put blue paint on the bolt threads making them insanely hard to tighten. Great product otherwise

  • @UTeewb

@@UTeewb kind of defeats the purpose of stopping vibrations if you cant even screw them in 20% because of the paint? It definitely LOCKed me out from using the THREADS of some of my bolts :) its either not needed or the thread locker they used is garbage.
