I was a heavy metal vocalist back in my school and college days and was popular voice for Metallica and Pantera songs but as days went by i found heavy metal loosing importance in the era of Social media and online music platform. Currently people have the option of various type and genre of music and not the one only produced by Western media. The reason why Heavy Metal music got so popular is because of the way it was marketed and the hype it created to the point where it made sex drugs and rock n roll a way of life which is pretty pathetic. Thanks to social media and internet the world has access to all type of popular music across the globe and not only limited from the west. I do not criticize western world for producing low quality music but my point is people should not be forced to listen to only one medium .
