The spin on the first launch is made by a magnet that makes "contact" with the metal disc on the train. This is the block that is placed under/next to the catwalk that can be seen at 6:15 in the bottom right corner. Basically looks the same as the magnetic brakes on the old gen Intamin mega, hyper and giga

Got to give a huge applause to MACK Rides for doing this ride~ It is evident that they took a look at Time Traveller and saw what they were able to improve on, and also meet the demands for Plopsaland to ensure it did what they wanted it to do. And it's like they didn't just slightly improve it, they improved it BIG TIME LIKE x100. It's clear that this is probably the best spinning coaster ever made in the entire world. So again, kudos to MACK Rides, and this just shows you to amazing German craftsmanship.

I’m in the queue for this as I type! Second day here. What an incredible machine. It is unbelievable! However many videos you watch before, even standing watching it by the side - you simply cannot be fully prepared for this ride experience. It is so much more intense than it looks! The soundtrack playing in the seats adds so, so much. The ride wouldn’t be the same without it. For me, it’s a front row (car) ride - I love the insane airtime at the top just after the launch…and I do find it rides more rough at the back. My opinion: this is not my favourite rollercoaster (I’m still too in love with Zadra), but The Ride To Happiness IS the best coaster in the world. I could never imagine being ‘relaxed’ on this ride. It’s just so different each time you ride! For me, there is some ‘comfort’ to be found in something like Zadra where you know what to expect. But no doubt, RTH is special. Truly special.

So much better than time traveller and the last double maneuver is absolutely amazing when you come out of it backwards. Did not think a coaster could be more fun that the RMCs, but MACK did it. Hoping KI (replace Vortex), CP and some other parks in the US get one sooner than later.

I know this park since my first visit in 1991 when it was called Meli- park. It had a fairytale forest, some small coasters and the biggest ride was the log flume, now Dino splash. When studio 100 took it over, they put some new rides in for families and kids, but it was still Meli park for me. Until the day they build 'Anubis' and it was well recieved. But that a family park that was own by the same company that started with a children show on sunday in the 90's about a talking dog called 'Samson' and later 'Plop' (PlopSa) and now has this in their park, I couldn't believe it. They now even have a pretty intense Scare nights during Halloween events. Now I can say: This is no Meli park anymore.

So, I was wondering since I've never ridden these, how would you compare Eejanaika, Ride to Happiness, and a potential Axis coaster? (in terms of disorienting and intensity)

I have some motion sickness from spinning so I dont know if it will be that high up for me so… but I will be going on Zadra, Hyperion, Ride to Happiness, Kondaa, Untamed, Colossos, Kärnan, ispeed, Taron and Fly next summer so Im hoping I will have ridden Europes best coaster among them? That will be my first big trip ( I live in Germany) after riding Expedition Geforce and therefore reigniting my love for Coasters last summer. Geforce has been my only „elite“ ride I have ever been, only knowing Coasters from Europapark before (my homepark, go Voltron!) and I was shook. The airtime on egf was really crazy and got me wanting more! And hearing lots of people say that Hyperion is even better.. and Zadra being my first rmc. Yeah Im excited.

Finally went over to Plopsaland today and got to marathon Ride to Happiness. The hype is indeed fully justified, instant #1 for me. The only downside for me is their loose item policy. Plopsaland is the only park which has ever made me take of my glasses, even though they're fixed with a bungee chord.

I’ve booked to go here for the first time with my non-enthusiast boyfriend next week and could not be more excited, especially since it’ll be our first trip together outside of the UK. He’s not a fan of spinning though so it’ll be interesting to see what he thinks. There’s a clone of Sierra Sidewinder in the UK (Storm Chaser at Paultons Park; great park, super underrated ride) and he could only handle about 2/3 rides on that.

I think in a decade we're going to look at this ride and view it as THE landmark rollercoaster of this generation. Rides like this don't come often - huge rmcs are great but steve/gwazi/zadra arent going to have the impact that i reckon this will.

I love tomorrowland the music festival. The music festival goes around Magic and it’s one of the most famous festivals in the whole world next to ultra music festival in Miami. The surprising thing is that I didn’t know that they would be getting into the roller coaster industry I thought they would focus on their music festivals cause they have that in A lot of places. So it’s good to see that there not just sticking with one thing but also trying to attract everything into one. The ride is supposed to fill magical. Just like time traveler it’s supposed to feel like time travel and tomorrow land is supposed to feel like your time traveling. One of their stages they have a whole time traveling feeling. So it’s just a very cool how they incorporate all of this into a coaster.

The sudden rotation of the trains during the first launch is made by (possibly?) magnets next to the track. If I remember correctly you can kind of see it while riding.
