ride on train track in garden 5" gauge Baldwin 242 steam locomotive Lynton and Barnstable 762

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

not a bmw cafe racer video, but hopefully a little more impressive...this is my dads project. its a ride on train track, i cant remember exactly when he started this, however there is an unfinished steam loco in the shed somewhere that i remember him working on when i was pretty little....the current train itself is a baldwin 242 locomotive, and number 762 works number from lynton and barnstable southern railways and you got a preview of that in part 9 video of the cafe racer build at about 3 minutes in. i will give you a walk around the train one day when its a bit more together.anyway. i managed to persuade my dad to allow my to put this video on utube because to be honest i think its just to good not to share....hope you like it....if you do have a look at the later video with the electric train in it, definitely worth a peek.....

What a wonderful time I've had traveling just absorbing your train trundle around your garden! This really is a very effective way of slowing us all down, I think this simple kind of viewing is becoming more and more popular for good reason. Thank you for sharing. We film natural slow gopro walks through soulful cities but it's lovely to see someone just traveling around their garden.

That is simply brilliant! This must of taken an age to construct. Im presuming the rails bars are off the shelf and then its a matter of laying on homemade sleepers?.. The idea of automated car window points is pure genius. This truly is the definition of "a labour of love" hats off to your dad. It would be great to get a look under the bonnet of the trains in the future.

+petesplace55 i like the idea of hybrid! I take it hes thinking along the lines of a diesel electric but using steam to drive the generator? Or maybe some kind of solar powered / energy recovery stuff.... He clearly a very talented chap, I think he should have a crack at the first hydrogen cell train!

People need to buy my "Impact" a James Grider novel so I can build this and build a cat-cage car and have the cat be trapped on a moving train for the rest of its life. Why not lay the tracks in the house to every room, embed them even with the floor like streetcar rails, and then have the train run on gasoline spewing fumes into the house? What happens if James Grider were to lay a police officer's penis on the rails, could the train cut it off by running over it?

Hi - absolutely loved the video and the locomotive - It is a very lovely and scenic railway! I have a FB group for running small 3 1/2" and 5" Narrow Gauge locomotives on ground level (up to 18" in height) where members who have garden railways visit one another throughout the year - not unlike 16mm Narrow Gauge! Although the big baldwin that I see in the video might not fit into the small locomotive category of the group, however your little Diesel cafe racer will! Even if the locomotive is Standard Gauge our group might still be of interest to you. I have just started the group and would love for you to join us if it interests you: facebook.com/groups/SNGGLG/
