i see what Ferruccio Lamborghini meant when he said "this is no sports car" when riding in a Ferrari and wanted to make a real sports car, the sound just speaks for it self, bordering on super car.

@@pinkyn0se Having listened to a few more in car videos of Miura drivers the noise is unusually loud, probably as you say, worn gears.

@@peterhealey2668 the Miura does have straight cut gears with the box in the sump, like a mini, but it is louder than you'd be happy with if you owned it Judging by the amount of blue smoke it's also putting out as well when he fired it up, I'd say the mechanicals are due for some work...

A realy beauty indeed. But i suspect that much of the noise depends on the exhaust pipes design ? that is an interesting field of design ... in order to target the type of sound wanted more than the actual power

The owner is right, the lower engine block shared the same casting and even oil as the transmission. Lets just say the '66-'69 models had a bad habit of blowing up. A very good friend of mine just recently had his '69 S restored in pistachio green. Such a fun little car to drive (like a go kart) and its sits so low. Lower than the GT40. Let me know if Doc or you want pics.

i like the old hood emblems on older lambos more than the new one, i dont know why but its just something about it that i like more than the newer ones xD

@nracing I think that i the tach you are talking about, it might have looked like a speedo because the number were multiplied by 10 instead of 1000
