I'm 6'1" 160lbs, with a 23" stance and 10.5 boot and got the 162. Best board I have ever owned. Definitely a board for the hard charging carvers, it trucks through any rough stuff and carves amazing even on rough and slushy conditions. At slow speed its is not a maneuverable board, and there's just no point in trying to butter it. But thats not what its for. I was worried 162 would be too much for my weight, but the board holds such a good edge I am able to throw it into some tight turns without any issue. It simply puts a smile on my face. PS...I have experience racing Giant slalom and pushing hard into carves. If you are not an expert carver I dont think you will enjoy this board.

Thanks for your take and especially giving us your background and full specs. Greatly appreciated. People that just give their height and weight makes their feedback useless.

I have from 10 years Jones Flagship 164 cm. And it's high time toi change the board. I really like the review and specifications of the Commissioner but I have two concerns about it and 165 cm size. Firstly - and mainly - the sidecut radius which is in 165 cm... 12 m. (Secondly, the waist width is 266 mm (vs 254 in my Flagship)). I have never liked typical carving driving (long, straight lines, rare turns). I like riding very fast, but where I have to work on the board. I love agressive short, tight turns and playing on crud/chunder (both - driving aggressively, smashing it, and "dancing" on it). So, will Ride Commissioner with its sidecut and wide waist be a good successor to Flagship for me? P.S. I'm 188 cm, 88 kg, Mondo boot size 290 mm (But! I have quite sharp binding angles, wide stance and I don't ride lying down on the snow - I've never had a problem with my shoe hooking on snow).

Not sure I fully understand what you are saying. So you like short tight turns? If so this is a big no. This is a massively stiffer flex and a much slower turner vs. the old flagship. The old Flagship is really stiff compared to the current one too. If you want to go straight and pretty much that only this could work. 11US boots can turn it ok but not if you are used to a 164 Flagship. It's more like riding a 165w Flagship with less sidecut and a much stiffer flex. I would try to demo it if you can before buying. Hit me up here if you want to get into it more. . shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

I’m looking this board in the 158, the super pig in the 151 or the algorythm in the 157. I’m 6’ 182 been riding for a long time. Just trying to make a decision haha. Anybody got any experience on any of them?

Based on the info given I can't in good conscious recommend anything. I would at least need your boot size but knowing a lot more would really help. If you want to do this correctly and be much more happy with your purchase hit me up here. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

At 170 pounds, 8.5 US boots, 5' 11" tall, the charts for a 2023 commissioner says 153 based on weight. Currently on a 151 2020 Superpig, which is a volume shifted board. 153 commissioner seems close to the 151 Superpig and I don't think the commissioner is a Volume shifted board. Is 153 a good fit? Looking to get into more long drawn out carving as the Superpig sidecut is too short.

153 is way too small for you. I would say you are better off with the 158 for this kind of board and it's more comparable to the 151/Medium Superpig you ride now.

@@thegoodridesnow thanks for the size recommendations. When you say "it's more comparable to my Superpig", in what ways? Looking to get an improved high speed carving experience, otherwise I won't need to upgrade. Thanks again....

215-220 lbs, 6'1 and size 11 boot. 162? I am pretty sure I can handle the 162, but the 158 might be more fun to manhandle. I don't know.

I would suggest 162. That is a pretty good fit for you. The 157 will feel small. I would have recommended the 162 or 165. 162 if you want more control and 165 if you want more speed/float.

The 153 and 155 work with your weight but it is dependant on your boot size. Hit me up here and so I can help you find a pointer that works for your specs. At your weight you don't need the ultra stiff rides to go fast. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

Thank you very much for your attention, I opted for a bataleon thunder 23, 156w. Considering it's medium flex i thought it was the better option. What do you think? I think i got a good deal for it, 350 euros. Now I wish I waited a little bit more to listen to your advice 😅 cheers

Bought this board and rode it two times and was completely disappointed. one trick pony that needs the entire width of the run to do a turn. you'll have serious issues on a crowded day. I wouldn't dare take this in the trees. I'm 6'1 and 235 lb and a weight lifter thats been boarding to 20 years. Way to much work to get from edge to edge and ZERO versatility. Its now up for sale...
