In my opinion, there was an opening RTJ went for it .right rear to left front . That's why I watch . Not to just stay in line and ride around. The fans pay top dollar to watch hard racing. They put on a show. Thank you 😊.

Two of my favorite drivers , but "Nobody" took the side off JD's car . Why exaggerate so bad , that was just a racing deal .

I think it's normally because they haven't sat down and watched the tape with a rational train of thought. They are still in the moment during these interviews and a lot of people get emotional over the race, including their crew. Sometimes they get out of the car and an emotional crew guy can say the wrong thing and get a driver all wound up. They probably get online later that night and watch the replay and question wether they said the right thing or not. It's all public, so it's probably hard to just admit you were emotional over the situation. JD does it to people too.

I'm a Davenport fan, but RTJ beat him to the spot. RTJ is a little wacky out there but that was a good move. He had a run up top,JD moved up to slow him down and got crossed over. The pinch came too late and he pinched Thorntons rear. Thornton just had the better car this time.

Every situation that occured during this race was purely all racing deals

Why is no one mad at McCreadie for bringing out a caution because his night wasn't going well ? That was as big of a factor in determining the outcome as anything Davenport or RTJ did. The guy is running 22nd and decides he needs a caution so he can charge to 26th.

DJ said he "got cleaned out" Door was open and he got moved. No damage. Good hard racing. Quit being a cry baby. lol said he got his whole left side off. Drink some more beer.

Mike Marler did the right thing by pinching him down in the corner to get around him and then rjt come up on him. Just a racing deal.

@@thelonerick but again If you are racing like that, don't be surprised when someone goes a little harder is all I'm saying. Yeah, he pinched RTJ causing him to come up. To me the racing was fun. I'm just saying that both sides get blame. It kind of annoys me when two racers are pushing the limits and they act like only one person was.

I think it's great, these late models are faster than ever with the suspension and aerodynamic technology. These drivers are the best dirt racers in the world. The way they can apply pressure to one another running over a 100mph at times, just enough pressure to move a car without spinning out or spinning each other out! Amazing. And what would racing be without some fierce competitive anger be (remember Earnhardt's attitude)? Get in the ring with these boys and see how they treat you. Marlar, Thorton, Davenport, Awesome racing. And kudos to Ryan Gustin who came all the up to seventh, he had the fastest car at the end of the race. Got to love American Dirt racing. WOOHOO!

I believe I remember last year ol JD wiping out joiner at eldora.

maybe if jd wasnt going from bottom to top back to bottom he wouldnt have left that big ass hole on the bottom. kinda hard to get drove thru when the guys rr is at ur lf. like both drivers but that was good hard racing.

You can use your own eyes to see that. Where did the huge hole come from if he wasn’t? Ricky didn’t move him up the track. He did it on his own.

I’m a huge Davenport fan, but sure does seem like he’s crying more and more. Their cars were damn near wheel to wheel, I saw good racing.

So you offer $25,000 to win you put the best late models on the track with the best drivers in the country and they all want to win and they all know what they can get away with and you wonder why things happen like this. I'm 80 years old. I've been around racing for a very long time and nothing, nothing has changed.

Lets go RTJ

Thorton has something giving him way more traction and the dirt late model world is to dumb to find it

They all work in a grey area to find something and RTJ had something for em Saturday. All the big teams running longhorns share set up notes and sell those notes to smaller teams. Just because a set up works for one guy doesn't mean it works for the next.

He needs to learn that when someone has the lead and obvious position, not to pinch them down and then blame them.

Well at least there’s something to talk about. I thought the race ok until they got to racing and once the boys are pissed off they started racing.

Exactly right. I've seen JD come from 15th to 2nd in a half a lap and didn't touch one car. Restarted 15th from a flat tire. Put it on the wall and said bye bye. Been in racing over 40 years Rtj drives over his head. It will bite him one day and it's gonna hurt.
