I agree with Ricky on dogs, I prefer them to most humans. I'm a bin man, bins out, bins in at serviced appartments, unit blocks etc. On my daily rounds most people ignore or avoid the bin man, but! their dogs are more than happy to say hello and have a 'ruffle' or an ear scratch. I have my 'regulars' who wont move on till I've greeted them (this really annoys some of their owners) As Ricky would say 'priceless!'.... 🤣

I would not avoid 'the bin man'. Anyone who loves dogs is okay with me. What you do for a living means nothing as long as my dog likes you.

Shallow people who judge based on occupation are not worth your time. You perform an essential service many won’t do which elevates you, in my opinion. God bless you and the dogs who see your soul first. They recognize good people on first sight.

I loved season 3. Every grief does come to some kind of acceptance and this was great. Ricky is right, the dog is amazing!!

man, I wish that one day Ricky will be able to have a dog for good, he deserves it! i balled my eyes out at the final scene of 'after life', it was so beautifully done, thank you Ricky!

Just binged the whole three series in 24 hours and it is awesome. He has an amazing way of observing people and especially men the way women see them and how so many of them are their own worse enemy and never grow up.

"Everyone thinks their dog is the best dog in the world.... and everyone is right." My Talos... one year ago since he died. 14 years. Love you forever, Talos. Thank you so much for every single second.

Love what Ricky says about dogs, I feel exactly the same. Dogs are a gift to humanity and I also agree about living dogs more than people. Dogs are loyal and soulful and they feel your emotions too - you get what you see

Loved the dog , I've just lost my German shepherd / lab... love watching all scene's, but especially the one's with the dog.. I agree 100 % , dog's are better than people , no hidden agenda...well done mate..

I love the Ricky was a cat guy. Not enough favor for cats in TV, spectrum always leans to favor dogs. Dog was good in the show even though you could see him constantly looking at the handler. Appreciate Ricky's cat photos though, thas all.

But the dog did die. Just not as part of the main story. He walks away with his wife - she fades out, then the dog fades out and he is alone. Then he fades out. Life. That's how it goes. That is such beautiful dog. And yeppers - I was late because I saw a dog. It needed petting.

Ricky knows that he would need a dog sitter most of the time and that the dog would recognise the sitter as it’s owner and not Ricky, which would make the dog not his… Contradicts his premise “everyone owns the dog”

Very brave acting with that scene-stealer.

He should just get two or three dogs, a single dog would be too lonely when they go away. A mini-pack would work, especially if they have a regular dog sitter who forms a bond with them.

If it was me it would be a cat in the show. I would like a dog but am not in the best health to look after one. I like other people's dogs.

Dogs are better...we people have the potential, but (many, hopefully most) dogs haven't had their nature's conditioned out of them so that they can fit in with the others who are also lost.

It’s because I have a dog that will try and run through the tv that I can’t watch After life… 2 seconds in - fuck turn it off.

I do the same thing when I meet dogs. I'll ask for the dog's name and could honestly care less about the dog's human.

The soppiest season ever!!!! If Ricky decided to break his "Artistic" 3 seasons, 1 feature" BS, I'd begin to hate Tony. The only thing that needs expansion is DEREK! But Ricky seems to be more interested in artistic nonsense. Please just make DEREK an ongoing series.

Gervais's haters love to say how much he sucks, fact is he is not only one of the best most anti-woke comedians there is, he is also a fantastic actor.

The dog acts supremely unnaturally in the show, it’s very clear in many shots that she is looking at it’s trainer who is off camera.. Which makes it CREEPY because it makes it look like there’s an intruder in the house 👀 . Also, don’t use treats if you’re a director and you want it to look like the dog is excited about an actor.. We can SEE the dog sniffing the hand for the treats when it’s only supposed to ‘greet’ the person. it’s not a good idea to include a dog in the cast

Rubbish. Dogs love to take off at 500mph. Dogs are cool and just love to have fun. Ricky says dogs are magical beings, and they are.

The dog is the one weak link. Sadly, in every shot the dog is looking at it’s trainer/owner, waiting for the next command, not at Ricky. Very bad direction in what is otherwise a charming series.
