Rick is not lying when he says he spent his life hunting for Rick Prime. After RP killed his family when he was in his 20’s-30’s, he keeps looking and hunting him down, alt he way till he’s about 70-80’s. It’s crazy.

I don't know why a lot of people say this show is bad,this is some really good and sad character development,excited for S7,it will be a long wait I guess

They dropped the co-creator, a writer on the show and the voice of rick, morty and a lot of side characters. A lot of the show was improvised too, so tbh idk if they can really replace him. Sucks, but rick and morty is probably over

@@Joni-C137 The big issue is how a lot of it is improvised. Like justin more so get’s an outline showing topics to cover and the general direction, but he fills in everything else which gives it that loose, improvisational feel. That is a hard thing to replace. And yes, I am aware that he kind of was a dick on set. Just saying he added something to the show that isn’t that easy to replace. Something that is more than just writing episodes or voicing characters, with that thing being the improvised stuff

That's what I'm saying Rick is suffering from a mental fixation from that trauma he endured from previous events yet he acts as if it doesn't bother him but you start to see that he opens up more and admits to his pain and suffering.

Rick is one of the characters in a show that gone through so much pain.

You know whats great about the show? Despite there not being a strong emphasis on lore at all, and it intentionally doing very few lore episodes, it still has quite a deep and connected lore that gradually and reasonably explained things like why Rick seems to be the most intelligent in every universe etc. I think it just shows good writing, that characters can have their deep moments in a show that is so outlandishly ironic and bound to basically no moral principles. Sorry for bad english

Theory: Rick loses all relationships that he tries to invest real love in (his wife, birdman, unity, even that stupid "HELLO" alien with the elbow-boobs. And because he knows it very well, because he's incredibly smart, he is intentionally emotionally distant from the Smith family because he doesn't want to lose them too. He could probably lose Beth because he sometimes shows "weakness" with her.

Why is it that psychotic genocidial completly deranged charather makes us feels so much empathy towards them. Like, there's literally studies showing that sociopath tends to be more charming than the population average.
