Well he played the AK as worse as he could there, you should never be flatting a button 3 bet out of position against a loose player like salomon, that is a 4 bet to 75-100k all day. The flop check raise was idiotic and then he calls down his whole stack like a donk.

Mike Caro said and I paraphrase that you could be the 9th best poker player in the world but if you only play with the 8 best you’ll be a losing player. @Nick-xu7ns

@@rambojohnj.6117 Absolutely he has great results. And he deserves recognition for those, in the same way that a guy like Gus Hansen had great results. But Antonio has been retired for a few years (yes he played hellmuth in the challenge but even he said it wouldn’t end his retirement), clearly hasnt kept up on the game and is no longer someone you’re really fearing at the top level. Yeah he’d probably still crush your local casino game, but he’s not going to be putting in the work to be crushing the highest stakes anymore. That was my main point. In most nosebleed games Rick is going to be facing a much tougher opposition than Esfandiari. Not to take away from Antonio. He’s done a lot for the game and has made some great money from it. I’m not saying he was never good. He used to be one of the top players in the world. It’s just not that time anymore. Which is fine. That’s what happens when you retire from something.
