Yeah, this was seriously well done. I've communicated with Mr. Rule directly once or twice via e-mail and he was always ultra opaque regarding everything. Although all of his picks (sans the Russian companies) were really obvious, it's still good to hear how much he appreciates them over the others. Too many mining, and especially precious metals, companies are trash and Rick was not afraid of stating that bluntly.

One year later, Russian stocks are worthless. Irony: he argued that all countries are a risk, including the US. He thought he understood Russian risk. Not so much.

Certainly on a par with delightful and professional Daniella of Stanbury Research where I think I first come across Adam and this channel. Thankfully, not one of those who prefers to hear their own voice rather than the guest they are interviewing. Both make their MSM equivalents look like amateurs, not that I have watched TV, read 'news' papers or listened to radio for the past year, preferring to avoid all the propaganda and misinformation they put out.

Nice, think I'll start buying Rick's picks at the 20% discount from when he mentioned them!

If you hold cash as a way to hold liquidity, you should be holding silver+gold bullion instead. Gives you close the same liquidity with some inflation protection. Personally, I’d rather pay premiums on bullion and hedge against possible inflation than know my $s will devalue if I hold them for more than 6-12 months.

They’re outdated and no longer in use. Currency isn’t based on gold anymore. And where gold is useful in engineering, it’s too expensive to be cost effective, which means to be useful it needs to be cheaper, which goes against the idea it’s going up

Honestly, I would rather just invest in an index fund than the above mentioned stocks. I prefer to choose a good mid cap producer or a small cap near term producer with an excellent resource (long mine life and low cost of production) and especially if they have a pipeline for growth. I had no problem at all choosing a few companies for an average gain of over 100% in the last run. (I did even better last year in the lithium and nickel sectors with that same strategy.) The problem that I have with the companies named is that a company with such a large cap is not going to reward you enough for your wait. I understand that Rick Rule doesn't want to give away the names of the smaller companies he's currently building a position in but telling them to invest in large cap gold stocks is really not the best advice.

Mr. Rule is the best of the best, and it was very kind of him to list the stocks that he felt were top tier. He also must be very busy, as I went to the updated website and filled out the list of silver stocks I have (small) positions in, about a month ago, and still no response. This is not a criticism, but just be aware that you may not get the evaluation of your stocks due to Mr. Rule's heavy schedule.

If you follow Rick Rule, these names are not a surprise. They only one I have not heard him mention before is Agnico Eagle

People really should be listening carefully to Mr Rick Rule

I think it is important for people to know as who holds an embargo against Cuba... In this search for clean, class 1 and from companies that work with the community... Sherritt International is the Only company allowed and works jointly with the Country..

My favorites (which Mr. Rule didn't mention) are Roscan Gold, Northern Superior Resources, Frontier Lithium and Yamana Gold. I mention them just in case you want to broaden your research a bit.

@@Wealthion Very true. I'm curious who will trade silver for some necessary product, or service during some sort of economic crisis from those who are purchasing silver? I'd like to see a video regarding a hypothetical scenario describing how those folks buying silver will use it after the possible hyperinflation scenario. It's too many assumptions for me to grasp and understand to figure out the different possibilities for how it might be done. I'm not an economist. Thank you for the videos.

Yes, both are necessary. Cash is because you get to buy stuff with it from food to essentials and etc, silver and gold because it can appreciate and will serve as sound money type of assets that preserve your value and act as an investment.

I think Newmont is better. 1) higher dividend, 2) safer jurisdictions, 3) larger resources, esp in silver. That said, both should treat you well over the next 3-5 years

My polymetal stocks got shut down.i can't buy or sell or do anything with them. Some free market huh?

mining industry is cyclical. Demand for mined materials tends to fall when the economy slows down. Mining stock prices typically decline during a recession.

If you search World Nickel reserves.. It dpesnt even talk about Cuba!.. Even news, interviews..... No where until you force the research farther... Type world nickel resources cuba to then!! Discover Cuba is one of the largest Nickel resources in the world with Not only close to 6 million tons of reserves but it is CLASS 1 Nickel that gets processed in canada... a 50 stock that holds propriatary processing, that is community friendly and only producer allowed in cuba

I had Rick evaluate my stock. Not good! Had to make some changes.😬

With the Russian gold companies now being uninvestible, I'm glad I did not take that bit of advice. Already made that mistake with NILSY and...oops, yeah I do own Polymetal and its 90%+ loss.

It's my sixth largest holding in PM stocks and I think it's solid. Mr Rule ranks Centamin as a 4. Says it's cheap but has insufficient capex.

A year later, and these stocks were - mostly - bad or flat investments.

Beta, as in not trying to beat the index/sector (alpha) but just keeping parity with it as it grows. Alpha = greater risk return, beta = lower risk return. He's saying you don't need to take on the alpha risk if the overall index beta generates enough returns as is.

down from what ? I have owned those stocks for years and I am up on all of them. They tend to cycle

What are you talking about? I looked them all up and they are all doing quite well. Also, having been invested in the miners for many years, they do not lend themselves to short turn-around or day trading. These companies are making money (literally). Did you just randomly pick some figures out of the air to troll? What a strange comment.

Look at these stocks now. Mining stocks are a longer term hold, not for everyone, but when they pay off, it's big.

@@barefootpony A longer term hold? What, like a 100 years? SVM is 50% DOWN FSM is DOWN 50%. HUI is 30% DOWN from its all time highs. These mines are run by scammers and thieves. Sinclair Rule. LOL
