I legitimately think this scene will be impossible to top. For the literal first time, Neegan is completely speechless for a moment. There's officially someone he's come across that doesn't fear him in the slightest. Gotta be chilling.

Just topped it in the Rest In Peace finale . With rick and the helicopter finally interacting after so many years

First time this season that Rick became scarier then Negan. Loved seeing the cray-cray return to Rick's eyes. Good thing Negan was wearing a bandana around his neck or Rick would be tearing out another throat.

That moment when Rick doesn't give a shit no more.

It was dope to see Negan truly thrown off for a second.. I always like it when the very charismatic always confident bad guy gets unnerved or 1 up'd.. best part of the finale.

Nick Mizzone I never interpreted it that way. I always saw it as a combination of anger and confusion. For once, Negan didn't have anything witty to say. He's never come across someone who has pushed back against him this hard. Let alone someone who is surrounded, and wounded. Either way, great performances by Andy Lincoln and Jeffery dean Morgan.

It was amazing acting from the actors. Negan looked kind of angry when he realized he didn't know who HE was dealing with XD

This is what makes Rick more of a Badass. To prove how much he isn’t scared to kill someone, even after seeing a friends die right in front of him.

Rick had that stone cold stare since the very beginning really.It's amazing anybody ever tried to mess with him.I'd probably piss my pants if he was staring at me like that lol.

People underestimate the significance of a scene like this... what it says about human nature... you see, the scariest and craziest guy in the room you dont fuck with is not the big bad dude with the loud mouth... it’s the guy who upon having lost everything, and who has been beaten down into a pulp, still stares you straight in the eye, able to make not threats, but PROMISES of death. How can someone so far gone still retain enough sanity, enough FOCUS to make you their target? That is a man you do not fuck with. Negan made a huge mistake when he showed Rick that video tape. He reminded Rick of who he was under presssure... crazier than Negan. Period.

People would have found out for themselves by now, its at least 4 years into the apocalypse. Rick and co were just informed early on. Just look at when Negan kills David in the prison cell, Negan was aware that he would turn even though he had not been bitten. Again its around 4 years into the apocalypse, most people are probably aware that they are infected.

Negan thought he could leverage himself with fear over Rick and Alexandria and it worked for a bit, but Rick ain't the type of man to just lay down and die. Killing their people just strengthened the bond the group has and Negan expected them to just submit like everyone else. Carl told him awhile back that he doesn't know how dangerous they really are. You're fucking with the wrong people.

This scene gave me chills.

In a way, Rick did fulfill his promise on killing Negan. His final promise. Rick Grimes never fails to amaze me.

You can see Negan was for a good second there pretty scared, but he kept his shit together

I bet Negan wasn't expecting that.

But NOTHING. Is going to change that, nothing. Great acting.

Notice it's the same music between cuts just much deeper and eerie when he threatens Negan again. After Negan killed Glenn Rick was still the renewed Rick that found his humanity again. While the eerie is his old very dangerous self. And Negan realizes he's staring death in the face.

Amazing acting from JDM. Negan's trying to keep composure with his eyes staring daggers at Rick, but you can see his jaw quiver and lip snarl unconsciously, like he can't control his rage.

This is something Shane could never have done. I think what gave Rick his internal strength is because, even though he had to adapt in order to survive, and do things he would never have done in the world before, he never gave up his core values. I think Hershel and Dale would've been proud of him. I wish that those two characters had been kept around much longer, and that they had kept Andrea's character alive as well, and have her end up with Rick, like she did in the comics from my understanding, instead of Michonne.
