How did his character change over the course of the film, what was learned by that character, if you still cannot make the connection, I can go further into depth.

@Tazmon Sims that’s just a basic heroes journey character arc; your truth and reality changes to be congruent with a new external reality. You’ll find that in 90 % of storylines. as far what they learn well Theo learned to hope again. Rick I suppose learned that there can be satisfaction in familial responsibility. The commonality is that they are both cynics, which again that’s a pretty common story mechanism. Yeah y’all are either smarter than I am or placing too much weight on conjunctions and commonly vague connections. Either way is fine by me.

This was the creators mocking the fanbase once again Rick said similar things to Jerry in this episode and everyone laughed, when a 17 year old female, who has been dealing with Jerry this entire time, had the nerve to speak her version of the truth, everybro gets caught in their feelings. Nothing Summer said was wrong, she was spot on in her assessment of Jerry, but because a girl said it bros are upset.

Old Harmontown fans can easily spot episodes mostly written by Dan. Like, if any 3 of the following apply, he wrote it: 1) The words ‘high-roading’, ‘white-knighting’, or ‘gaslighting’ are used. 2.) Everyone seems a little meaner to each other than usual. 3.) Any of his current obsessions show up (ie. Minecraft previously). 4.) The dialogue is super quick and snappy, but the characters seem a little less unique to themselves. 5.) Anything huge and intentionally questionable is added just to upset people silly enough to think anything is canon. 6.) If at any point Rick literally sounds like Dan on a drunken tirade. Def recommend watching some of the live Harmontown stuff on KZread-you’ll start to notice it too. lol

Beth is both a Clone and Not a Clone until prooven otherwise. In general, we are to asume she is Not a Clone (as Rick said), but if the writters get good ideas and feel like writting an episode about the "real Beth" comming back and the "actual Beth" realizing she is a clone... nothing will stop them, and they wouldn't be retconning anything really (or maybe even have a stand-alone episode of "real Beth" living her life in the Universe, and "actual Beth" (and the family) never realizing she was a clone... Is an opportunity waiting to happen... is just that it may never happen.

Morty went and became leader of the Tree-people. He knows how to live in the wild.

Childrick of Mort is a play on Children of Men. It's a really cool movie where humanity becomes barren.The story picks up after 20+ afterwards where seeing no future for humanity, much of it descends into chaos.It's a really cool movie.

Children of Men I think is the title basically. It's been over 2 years but I finally finished season 4 so I'm here to see the reactions. I don't know what was wrong with me I just remember season 4 being bad but on rewatching yesterday it was pretty good. I binged season 5 and first episodes of 6 too. So I'm all up to date :)

Easily makes it to my top ten episodes of the series at this point, absolutely loved this episode.

Jerry has been unemployed for two seasons now. Ever since he was fired from that advertising gig. So they didn't write that storyline just for this episode. It's been a running gag for a while now.

Rick and Morty forever

Every time you start to feel sorry for Jerry, because he's such a loser and someone (usually Rick, but this time Summer) brutally eviscerates his self-serving world view, Jerry immediately manages to undercut it by revealing that he's not merely a put-upon victim, but actually an complete asshole in his own right. In this case, it's when he indoctrinates the innocent clay people to hate the "productive" tribe, and when he destroyed the house that one of them created. He _could_ have had the moral upper hand, if he had taken the people that Rick and Beth's mechanistic society had cruelly sorted out as "unproductives" and shown that they weren't useless and just as capable of building a worthy society - but, being Jerry, he just _had_ to squander it, by forcing them to remain at cavemen level and live in squalor, in order to make himself feel better. His "passion" for camping was thus revealed as a mere front for his true motivation: the need to devalue what everybody else is good at, because _he isn't._

We haven't seen Beth stress drink since before the whole clone moment. She's TOTALLY a clone (or she's just improving herself but my money is on clone)

I like to think that Rick made a clone, but in the end Beth stayed while the clone went away for adventures. It would make an interesting dynamic and allow for a little twist/reveal if the issue was to return.

ChildRick of Mort is a reference to the movie (and book) Children of Men. In which the human race has become infertile, and after 20 years global population has plummeted and much of the planet has fallen into chaos. The UK is one of the last places left with a functional government, but it has become a police state and either deports, or just executes refugees. During this a British government worker is abducted by a radical refugee rights group and introduced to a young refugee woman who is pregnant. Remember, she's the first pregnant woman on Earth in 2 decades, so the government worker used his position to try to keep her safe from the very government he works for.
