Since Rick and Morty is Warner Media and Gravity Falls is Disney. I think odds of them doing a real official crossover episode is super low. But Justin Roiland and Alex Hirsch are friends in IRL. So they do the voices together sometimes.

As cool of an idea that is, think of it like this. Ford spent a bunch of time perfecting that portal, to the point where he had to have a demon help him create it. Even then, it's utterly massive and as far as I'm concerned, dangerous and unpredictable, especially with the gravity anomalies and whatnot. Ricks portal gun is small, compact, mobile, and can create instantaneous portals to anywhere with no anomalies whatsoever. Which was most likely the reason Stanford was holding the portal gun. He was astonished at Ricks work and Rick was explaining how it worked! I'm my theory of course :3

If you have watched the 5th season of Rick and Morty and seen the ending, it can possibly be way to finally bring Rick and Morty and Stan and Ford together to take on evil Morty

I know that in the Gravity Falls graphic novel that they released, which is a sort of continuation of the show, there is a part were the Pines go to the underworld, and there are memory vials that are being sold by a merchant. One of the vials says R. Sanchez.

Cheers to the animators keeping Gravity Falls alive. Many wonderful memories watching it w a friend.

You missed the Easter egg that never came to be, the guy in the rainbow shirt used to have half a code printed. The other half was supposed to appear in the gravity falls show, but it appeared later in other gf merch.

Gravity Falls had the best intro of any show. (Rick and Morty has the second best)

Fun Fact - Most of the voice actors in Rick and Morty were taken from Gravity Falls, and Vice Versa.

In the Lost Legends comic book which I believe is canon, theres the Rick Sanchez memories in the paranormal black market. The way of erasing memories in both shows is quite similar

in the beginning of the book there’s a code that says the book is only canon-ish. which i interpreted to be mostly canon, but alex can’t just give us things because he’s alex 😂 also in the mabel dimension from that book there’s a morty mabel, along with several other crossover mabels

Honestly, I’d like to think that while Stanford was trapped in the portal, he was just in the Rick and Morty universe

I miss Gravity Falls ssooooo much, but I know it won’t come back. The only hope I have is it will come back in Rick and Morty as a crossover episode. Hope is not lost.

@Emergency Awesome There's a Gravity Falls book called "Gravity Falls Lost Legends", and in one of the stories within there's a guy in the "Ghost Underworld" running a booth that sells lost memories. One of the memory vials on his stand says "Rick S." Which I think is really cool, considering we've also seen the Stanford memory vial.

Maybe Standford is from outside of the central finite curve, since his portal was more special since it could not only travel through space, it made it possible to travel from the second to the tird dimension, maybe it allowed stanfort to enter the central finite curve

i think it's more likely that the gravity falls universe is already within the central finite curve as a lot of the tech that ford and mcgucket made seems to be less reliable versions of rick's tech. bill destroyed his original 2nd dimension and got stuck between dimensions after. he was going to travel to the 3rd dimension from the mindscape. and rick's portal gun isn't just for travelling through space either, him and morty use it to travel to other dimensions too.

@@linksoni213 i'd assume bill went to ford because ford summoned him and would be more easily manipulated due to ford's ignorance and desire. assuming rick does exist and is the smartest man in the universe, he'd have no reason to partner up with bill because he doesn't need him. just my own take on it anyways. i can see how your theory could be just as valid tho.

Just watched the season 5 finale, and since the Central finite curve blocks all other universes does that mean in Gravity falls there's a Rick there? Because the finite curve only allows the dimensions where rick is the smartest

Theory, the tube marked Bill C. Is the tube from the memory erasing gun from the last episode of Gravity Falls and Bill Cypher is imprisoned inside of it. Which BTW, you completely missed that the memory eraser and the tubes are a direct reference to the memory erasing gun and the society of the blind eye.

thats actually a smart easter egg with the memory tubes if you think about it, because bill said he can live forever as long as its in your memories and of course rick being rick he just left and deleted that memory... oh wait it was a blue tube which meant a good memory so that makes me question it.

They should have made the mortymobile into like an actual mortymobile from the show when he turned into a car

You know, given the whole debacle with Evil Morty and the Citadel being destroyed, one wonders whether or not Stanford managed to meet Rick from inside or outside the Central Finite Curve. Because if he's from outside of it, there is a whole lot of questions I have, and if he's from inside it, I wanna know where the Rick from the Gravity Falls universe was during the timeframe of the show.

Man, I know this is from a while ago, but I would be so happy if there was just one episode, even just an extra, where rick and morty run into bill cipher. What an episode that would be!

Bro Ik this 2 years later but what if Rick somehow met bill, made a deal for intelligence ( a possibility ), then proceeds to outsmart bill with the memory remover?

I watched both seasons the day they aired. I absolutely love them and I've been dying for them to actually cross over. Both creators were actually going to at one point, but plans changed cause their friends (third show creator, don't remember his name) show didn't get picked up by Fox or AS for a pilot season.

The Stanford Pines Rick you were talking about. Depending on which Rick you were talking about I’m pretty sure it was either a reference to Blade Runner or Doctor Who

the scary part of the book, pen and mug easter egg is that it implies that Gravity Falls is in the dimensional curve, since Rick was able to open a portal to the GF universe

5:12 that place also seems reminiscent of the Quadrangle of Quonfusion - that ford talks about in journal three

I really wish Gravity Falls didn't end but on the other hand, I'm glad it had a beautiful ending
