What an episode

Small detail is that once the hoof-peoples world gained access to storing information, they no longer questioned the existence of Morty and they focused their existence towards killing him. Before that it was word of mouth over decades, which is why there were multiple betrayal scenes. Edit: Lol alright alright

With references to Reed Richards and the Council of Reeds this show has done in the past, I would be very surprised if this isn’t an intentional Namor reference. He has very similar hair and facial structure. He’s dressed a lot like Namor dresses, even down to his red trunks that Namor first showed up in (in the Fantastic Four comics at least, idk about before that) and he calls Rick “Richard” and even brings up Rick’s mysterious blonde wife (Namor is constantly trying to woo Sue Richards as well). If this somehow isn’t intentional, it’s a wild coincidence 0_0

What I think is pretty interesting is that we’ve now established that Mr.Nimbus was at one time Rick’s friend, and also knew his wife Diane. Mr. Nimbus seems to like 3 ways with couples. Then, at the end of the show, Jerry and Beth are at the hotel trying to decide if they really want to go through with the 3-way. Mr. Nimbus opens the door, questions them, and they give in. Now, the part I really found interesting is when Beth and Jerry say “Please don’t tell Rick, he wouldn’t understand.” To which Mr. Nimbus says “Yes. He. Would.” So in my mind this means, at one time at least, maybe Rick and Diane had a 3-way with Mr. Nimbus or there was a love triangle going on when they were still together. OR maybe Rick and Mr. Nimbus had a thing.

I would say Kyle is probably just someone Rick was friends with before he created a portal gun, obviously he didnt have Morty around and without any wacky hijinks its pretty likely Kyle was just a random high school friend Rick used to hangout around

Honestly, if you want perfectly aged wine, what better way than a world with a Crono-Sync disparity of 50 years. So clever, and shows that Rick is comfortable using a world as a wine cellar.

Yeah, I thought the writing for that monologue was genius with its double meaning. The writing in this episode was super good, both the dialogue and story. That whole Narnia plotline was like a well written book all for the sake of a joke. It was like a legit story that I'd love to read.

So either she's hooking up with Evil Morty, she's waiting for Morty to grow a bit more (since he's already come close to apotheosis a few times), or Morty and Rick will hop dimensions again (they have like 4 left) and we get old Jessica again.

This is a classic rick and morty epsiode everything u expect and not expect to see

Rick and Morty have swapped home dimensions (canonically) twice. First when the love potion turned everyone who doesn't share genes with Morty into Cronenberg monsters and secondly when Morty caught the attention of The Squirrels. The mad max world romp was totally separate. The Council of Mortys went back and froze Morty's family on Morty's original Earth but I'm not sure whether or not that resulted in that family's death. The original family remained unmutated because their shared genes with Morty.

One of the best opening episode so far. Mr Nimbus and Morty’s subplot were both hilarious.

I wouldnt be surprised if Nimbus was his rival in love for his wife back in the day. Also Kyle was probably his assistant before Rick returned to his family and started using Morty as an assistant. Probably has to be a Doctor Who style reference of having multiple companions over time. I would actually love to see past Rick companions come back trying to kill him and Morty.

Rick was talking to Morty about making enemies, Morty asked him why he has so many, Rick told him it just happens. Then it literally happens to Morty. Whole civilization build on killing him just because he walked few meters for a wine and had a pleasant conversation with some guy who helped him.

Fine, I'll be that comic nerd... This actually happened in the comics. Because humans evolved from sea dwelling creatures. Aquaman does have have telepathic control over humans.

I wondered that too since at the end of s4 Rick had alienated his entire family and yet they seem pretty tolerant of him this episode. Heck Beth and Jerry even plead with Nimbus not to tell Rick even though at the end of s4 it seemed that noone, save for Morty maybe, really cared about what he had to say anymore, particularly about which Beth was the clone. And Rick acknowledged he was a terrible father yet here Rick seems his regular self.

Final season, at her wedding to morty, she is revealed to be an undercover agent working for evil morty, but she does truly love morty. Morty then has to kill her to save the world. Cue chaos chaos do you feel it. With rick dead and the rest of the family hiding away somewhere in the multiverse morty, without access to portal tech, returns alone to his home town where he bumps into jessica and perhaps finally it is their moment. Fade to black

They issued the C&D for his game studio “Squanchtendo” and they had to rename it “Squanch games”

I feel some of the show's writing style has passed me by at this point, but I still enjoy some of the episodes. I really like how this one was really well-done Morty-centric episode, with Rick only being in the B-plot, for a change. It was really well done.

Nimbus is mostly Namor, but one of his arms and one of his legs have Aquaman's classic/standard armor designs. Also, some versions of Aquaman can control people like he can sea life.

Damn look at that camera quality! The growth over the last few years is insane.

The Secret Treaty sounds like a restraining order between Richard and Mr. Nimbus, if they were former friends/lovers/comrades or whatever. The police being controlled by Nimbus becomes the police getting involved in a domestic dispute between Rick and Mr. Nimbus. But it is just wacky and twisted given the premise of the show. Nimbus has to at least be able to travel dimensions since Rick and Morty have shifted dimensions multiple times. Also he was able to rescue them, so he was either able to use Rick's tech or get there on his own.
