This guy can play with anybody. As technical and as fast as they want to get. Blues, check, jazzy stuff, check, chicken pickin, check, shreddin, check, etc. For people who don't know how good Richie is, I dare you to research everything you can find of him playing. It just might mess up your favorite players list and the order they are in. Phenomenal player!

I'm wondering why there is so much dislikes below videos of Ritchie. I discovered him few months ago, before that I didn't even know that he exist and he became one of my favourite guitarists immediately. I guess that he's too good for some people and they push the "dislike" button just because they are overhelmed by his inhuman music skills. I mean... how many people are THAT good at guitar, have THAT good vocal and are THAT good in creating compositions and making songs... AT ONCE??

+Łukasz Jaskulski Can't agree more. His musical style is reminiscent of Prince, Terence Trent D'arby, etc.... In my opinion, his talent is better than anyone else in the late 80-early-90 shred guitarist.

The guy is truly one of my favorites. The two recordings of him with Greg Howe are just absurd. Who the heck ever thought to put those two monsters together? One of them on an album is enough to melt your brain. Two of them together is just wrong in such a good way. If you haven't heard Kotzen's first album you've gotta track it down. The thing is just stupid.

I just read of the dislike of so many people when it comes to Richie... I saw Richie play on MTV while with Poison, the stand video. And since I wasn't a fan of poison I left the room until I heard the lead and knew C.C.Deville wasn't playing. I've been a loyal fan of Richies ever since. AS of today I've yet to see him live but I will. The Winery Dogs preferably since I'm a big fan of all 3 of them cats. And to all the tone deaf lames out there, you've got to be kidding to not her the depth and feel of Richies playing. Rock FN on Richie. You're the siznit my boy...... Kenny White Fresno ca...

2:57 onwards is just awesome! IMO - Ritchie was a lot better then vs now. But then again, he was much younger here (33 yrs) and really trying to impress, so that kinda figures! LOL! In fact, even in 2021, if he would clean shave, change his hairstyle back to this more youthful "cut", and get back in shape, etc., he'd probably look like that now even in his 50's! But, all image recs aside (LOL), he's still one on my all time favorite late 80s-90s shredder players who turned "bluesy" later on. 👍☺
